I code everything from scratch.. no editors.. no bulls...

I used Photoshop CS2 and EditPlus v2.12 by ES-Computing.

I had a web design business a couple years back and did all of the

graphic design for all of the 100+ websites, ads, and printables

we pumped out in 3 years.

However, I did not learn enough of the coding side of the business.

So I struggle with what I know and keep it simple because of that..

I guarantee you will not find any advanced coding here.. kept it pretty

basic. That's what I know.... Easy.. as John puts it so eloquently.

That type of graphic design is very different.. You have to learn and

become accustomed to setting up structures.  I would say it is close

to almost building a virtual house/business.

I could get better at it but I don't love it quite that much, I can just

hire someone to do some deep coding for me.

www.RentaCoder.com is a recommended site of mine to make some

extra money.  Bids on jobs posted by businesses throughout the world.

LOTS of new jobs EACH day.

Web design can be good money for those who do not mind repetitive

jobs that require LOTS of repeating things. Money is OK at best unless

you have a reputation/experience. If you have time at the computer I

would recommend looking into this.

Ok..... Hope this helps! haha :D

Helps a lot. Thanks.

I don't consider myself a web designer by any means, but dabble in it just enough to keep some of my customers happy. My coding skill set sucks. I usually prep in FW and shoot everything over to DW. If a really creative design is needed, that gets farmed out to some of my more creative graphic design friends who know how to design for the web. I haven't really decided how much deeper into website management I want to get. It's just a lot of infomation  :D

You are telling me........... It is hard enough to keep up

with my own stuff let alone putting a website together

for someone else. NIGHTMARE! Not always.. just take

lots of meds and you will not mind people complaining

so much... JK on the meds guys... but really.. If you can

handle it, it can be profitable as I am sure you are aware.

You should charge 20+ per hour if you can put together

a basic website... I never knew what to charge,.. My rate

now is around 35-50 an hour.

Lots of cash can be made if you go to traders markets in

your area and sell small informational website packages.

We made a good income from that in the first years.

cool! thanks for the info. yah, there are days that i love doing websites, and others that it just becomes this mental fart. it amazes me just how many people make website their bread and butter. i guess if i got paid enough money i would just sit down and learn the coding .. but which ones to learn first? hahahaha.

UPDATE:

I am reworking my website yet again,.. got to stay on top of things!

Whats New:

- Intro Page to split up traffic.. one side for Business Solutions and the other for Personal Projects

- Each website will be narrowed down to focus on either business or personal products.

- The personal page will have pre-made items available for purchase.

- The business page will be broke down a bit more by category, with updated pricing, layout and navigation.

I hope these changes will help increase the page load times to focus on different products based

on the specific visitors needs.. I will be doing alot of work over the next few weeks so keep your eyes

open for new additions to the website!
