    Macbook Pro Retina Template

A few years ago I posted this http://forum.uscutte...__fromsearch__1 an iphone 3g/3gs template since then Ive done iphone 4/4s, ipad, ipad 2,3 macbook pro (mid 2010 and up) I cut these out w/ clear vinyl and in most cases (to me) its better than the purchased product. Only problem is its easier to use the purchased product as a template to go buy just curious if anyone has purchased the zagg clear protective film for a macbook pro retina or has a template.

    Iphone 3G/3GS Template

I've searched and searched and I found a few threads claiming they posted an iphone template/skin but never found it so I ordered one by Z**G "invisible shield" don't want to post the full name incase it violates some copyright. Anyway I scanned it and it barley showed up but the trace looks pretty good. I haven't cut it yet to see how well it fits, also once I put the "purchased" product on my phone I'll scan in the paper that it was stuck to and that should produce a better image to trace. This will work well with clear oracle Enjoy!! iphone.ai iphone.ai
  4. Excellent! Thanks for the reply, I was thinking no less than $250 ($5 ea.) and depending on how I feel after it's finished no more than $350 so somewhere in between. Now I feel better hearing it from someone else, I called a Sticker/Airbrush company that's in my area (been around for years and years). I emailed them a picture of the shirt (not the scanned one) and told them that's all I had w/ the logo on it and I needed 50 of them blah blah blah blah the guy emailed me later and said if I needed them by this week $425 and by next week $400 lol oh yeah and a little disclaimer saying there may be an additional $75 design fee depending on how much trouble it would be to get the logo off the shirt hmmmm wasn't that hard to me
  5. Ok guys this isn't my design this is what the guy's want and I offered to touch it up but they wanted it just like this. Here's the deal this is a group of guys that run dogs and all they had was a shirt w/ this logo on it. I scanned the shirt and traced the pic and it looks identical to what's on the shirt. They want 50 of these, 1 color (white) and they want them 8.5" x 11" (give or take .5"-.75"). Anyway what I need some help pricing these guys THANKS IN ADVANCE....
  6. No no no I am not calling him a fruitloop I just want to b/c of the avatar lmao
  7. Thanks guys for the help.... Jon I actually did what you suggested before I posted the question (I used grey as my optional color) then cut it by color, I just thought there was a better way to do it and figured I would ask. Firemalt by the way I wanna call you fruitloop so bad (I guess cause of your avatar) anyway if I do this your way I will have a funny looking V until I lay the red on top right? I may give it a try this way just b/c I never have and it will be a 2 layer sticker instead of 3 layers. Thanks again everyone certainly gave me something to think about....
  8. I was having trouble posting the image b/c i was linking ".bmp" files so I had to change to ".jpg"... sorry
  9. I am using FlexiSign Pro v8.1 and as you can see in the first image I have a 3 Layer design, problem is when I put it in production manager the lines from the "V" will cut into my Mugen decal (you can see this in the second image) how can I correct this? I have tried welding it but it's not doing what I want....Thanks in advance guys/gals...

    First massive job for myself

Great job!, I don't know if it's the colors or what but the picture above looks like you photoshop'd the graphics and lettering on a picture of the trailer....I say this b/c when zooming in you can see the variations in the red ... must be b/c of the colors used together.. Anyway Great job

Apply vinyl the correct way dry with NO airbubbles

Ok that makes since since the 2nd layer gets most of the pressure since its on top I guess the bottom layer (white) didn't get enough pressure. I layered the graphic before I applied it, like a day or so before, using registration marks. The graphic itself didn't have any bubbles in it what-so-ever it actually looked really good, just after applying it to the glass door did it get the bubbles. Thanks for the feedback looks like I will be applying this one wet for sure.
  13. I have been struggling with this and I'm not sure if it's the vinyl that I'm using or what. Seems like vinyl cut stickers that I have purchased in the past from others never did this, maybe it's just my imagination. Today I applied a single letter "K" on someones front door for a bridal shower or something, it was fancy looking "K", I doubled layered the vinyl (white background and red foreground). Since it was late afternoon and it's getting cold around here I tried applying it dry and it turned out pretty good but there were more airbubbles than I like on the white, but only the white none was under the red (2 layers of vinyl). I am going to recut the K and apply it wet later this week when I have plenty of daylight just b/c I HATE airbubbles. The K was 16"x 12" and I am using Oracal 651 Vinyl, is this normal should I use another brand/type of vinyl, etc... I know when I apply it wet it will be virtually bubble free but I wont have this option everytime so I would love to hear everyones thoughts on this issue. Thanks
  14. dboutfit do you think we could get a listing of products that you used kinda like you did the printer. What brand/where did you buy the printable vinyl, the inks, etc.. By the way it looks great I have had a few people asking about stickers like that. Very Impressed great research!! On a side note there is a guy in my area using LG printable vinyl but he's using a regular inkjet printer w/ regular ink. You know how a full color page looks if printed on draft mode looks (fine white lines in between printer strokes) all his stickers have these, not to mention after a few months of weather it should be interesting to see how fast they fade.
  15. what is it there for, does it serve a purpose?
