trouble with letters

I was tying to make a 2 layer decal today

the first was on brown 3m it was ok just not deep enough thats an easy fi just lower blade

the 2nd was on arlon white dpfx6000 it started fine then it pulled the lettering up off the backing and was dragging it around

what am i doing wrong?

how do you set the pressure i see where to adjust speed not pressure

The pressure setting actually says Press on the cutter display. Set it to 120 or higher, and adjust the blade accordingly. Do not lower the pressure below 120. Make sure the blade is barely sticking out of the blade holder.

Just out of curiousity was the 3M calendared vinyl or cast?

Is there a reason why the pressure is set so high? I started out with a pressure of 60, and now am up to about 75-80 with Oracal 651. I haven't found a need to increase blade pressure since everything cuts well.
