Thanks to FF-extreme, Rynecoop and Neron for the inspiration, and thanks to Ken for the new cutter!

It's not perfect, but maybe a good start.

Thanks guys,

I was both a little apprehensive and pretty pleased with the application.  I did it dry and it came out ok, but next one I do, I think I'll apply wet.

On the sub-forum thing... yeah, that's what we need: another place for firefighters to hang out and swap stories!  I was a volunteer with a neighboring town for about six years.  I haven't been active for a couple of years now- been looking for a department I like, but all the departments around here are going paid.

Glad I got my car graphics started though, and have something to contribute!

Cheers-

Kev

All the fire fighters on the this forum now if all of you could of been from Nanaimo. Then maybe there wouldn't of been a rekindle in my house

Nice job on the window! Holy cow I inspired someone? sure wish I could figure out how to do that to some of the old timers at the station. Just think Ken with all us Firefighters on here the forum should never have a fire, and lets make sure our smoke detectors get checked

I gave the thumbs up for Kev getting something done. He was very patient while we got his machine exchanged, so I was happy to see something he had done with his new unit.

Firefighter section might not be a bad idea if there are enough of ya.

;D

Good luck with the old-timers!  You'll have better luck teaching a ladder truck to climb a tree.  ;D

I'm not a "real" firefighter, but I do fight fires when I grill out. ;D ;D Does that count?

I don't think you're actually supposed to be fighting the fire in your grill, unless you like to cook REALLY hot!  Like if you set a couple of old tires on fire in your garage and "smoke" your grillin's.  Then, maybe.

Careful with those outside deep fat fryers too. My dad cranked up the temp to 350 or somethin, but actually went around twice on the dial to get to 350, so it was burning more like 600+, and when the frozen turkey was dropped in, flames shot up in the air about 20ft.

Yup!  those things can be quite dangerous.  Folks fill them too full, turn them up too hot and drop the bird in from about 3 feet away ('cause it's ot you know).  Splashed oil over an open flame can become an explosive event.  Lots of homes have been lost to turkeys, if you will.
