HELP!!!!

Recommended Posts

Guest chasetin34

I have the US Cutter MH-871. I am trying to get it to communicate with my computer. I have tried 3 different computers and still nothing. I have even tried two USB cables. I don't know if I am doing something wrong. When I plug the USB cable into the computer it makes a sound like it accepted it. But when I go into the VinylMaster Cut V5.0 and try to get the cutter to recognize it and says it can't detect it. I even went in to the device manager to see if they it was under the USB section and I don't see it. Is the motherboard bad? Maybe I am making this more complicated than what it is. Idk maybe someone has experienced this and can help me.

Have you installed the driver? The cutter will show up as a comm device, make sure it is assigned port 1, 2, 3, or 4. If not reassign it, port 1 or 2 is recommended. Your best bet though, toss the USB and get a null modem serial cable. Much more reliable.

After you install the driver, reboot your computer.   Use DIRECT COM. Match the numbers. 1-4.  Not Detect.

NOTE to CHASE: This is not in reference to the VCP Driver which was offered by me above.

That little Virtual Com Port item is a stand-alone bit of code, which provides you with a Device Driver for USB that appears on the drop-down list of connections, and allows communication with the cutter's USB chipset (Serial Emulation).
