Guest minnesotacutter Posted July 29 Hey all, is there a way in the Vinyl Spooler to always show all jobs? I have a lot of repeat jobs, but after I sent a new job to the cutter it defaults back to 'most recent job'. It would be great if the spooler always showed all jobs. Thanks! MZ SKEETER 4,712 Posted July 29 You may get an answer by contacting Vinyl Master tech support. Only a handful of people here answer questions. I do not use Vinyl Master but, As a cutter with a business, for many years and a forum member here, you will want to save your files off, somewhere else. Computers go down, power surges etc.. I personally save my files off 2 other places than my computer. I have them saved in an external hard drive, and drafts in an email account as well as documents on my computer. I have 1,000's saved. You cannot depend on those files remaining in your Vinyl Master program. Plus save them off in .eps format, (it's a universal file format) so you can use them in any cutting software. Not just Vinyl Master. We have seen too many people lose all of their files, fonts, etc too many times and have to start over from scratch. It takes no time to import a file. slice&dice 2,459 Posted July 29 There isn't an option to "Save as EPS" in VM --- it would have to be "Exported as EPS" (File menu) As for the specific question of Minnesota, it does indeed seem like a VM (FutureCorp.) Support Ticket could get this answered.
darcshadow 1,640 Posted July 30 Just some advice, you should never rely on a spooler program to remember anything for you. Spooler programs are intended to be a temporary memory location to aid in transferring data Printing/plotting program between and the printer/cutter. The fact that VM spooler shows a history is a bit of an oddity in the spooler world and what ever data it's storing will likely be purged automatically at some point in time.
