Scratchthejeepguy 77 Posted May 22, 2018 My wife has a hair salon and it's very busy. I'd like to display a bunch of stickers on some sort of flat sheet that can be easily picked up, moved and looked at. I tried using one of those white foam boards but there's just a little bit of texture to it and the vinyl looks just barely "rough". I even tried some bare steel and it looks better but it still has some texture. I'd like to use something super smooth like glass, but I'm concerned about it breaking, and I'd like it to be double sided. What do you use?
ShaneGreen 131 Posted May 22, 2018 Sheets of coroplast. Lightweight, smooth, relatively cheep and holds up to handling. http://corrugatedplastics.net/
slice&dice 2,450 Posted May 22, 2018 Uh, coroplast is not smooth. It has ridges/bumps. I would use standard polystyrene sheet or foam board faced with polystyrene.
ShaneGreen 131 Posted May 22, 2018 Slice&Dice, you're right, "smooth" probably wasn't the right word to use. It has the long lines from the ribs, but the surface has no other texture so the vinyl adheres really well. From 5 feet away it you don't really notice the corrugations unless you're looking for it.
Sue2 920 Posted May 23, 2018 A white aluminum sign blank would work well. Sue2
Scratchthejeepguy 77 Posted May 23, 2018 Thanks all. I have some aluminum sheets and coroplast here that I will try. I think I'm going to also try colored plexiglass.
julian keller 20 Posted May 23, 2018 I used Lexan (plexiglass) from Home depot. Works well and if you drill holes in the top 2 corners it can be easily hung too. With lexan you can change up the background if you were to hang it and have something different each time.

I'm looking for something with two identical sides to double the real estate. I bought an 18"x24" piece of white lexan and it seems to be fine. I may get a smoked or colored one for white decals someday. Seems to meet all my requirements so far and is very smooth.

Fpr white decals the smoke would look good. They also make a midnight black too, at least they used to.
