slice&dice 2,450 Posted November 10, 2015 I have a client who runs a LEGO shop (yep, just those classic plastic bricks). He built a model from LEGO pieces of an Old Bay spice can (if you are not from Maryland, it might be unfamiliar). I did the vinyl lettering right onto it. Came out terrific. Strange business we're in ---- all sorts of odd requests !!!

slice&dice 2,450 Posted November 11, 2015 It is one of the best little jobs I've ever done in my life. The brain-dead-easy lettering came all came together in SignBlazer like a charm. Now, who wants "extra credit" ratings today? Look at the original can (just purchased off the store shelf, to take this photo) and compare to the model. Who can spot the discrepancy? (Well, aside from the fact that one is the real deal and one is classic plastic bricks)

slice&dice 2,450 Posted November 11, 2015 Macon, that's right, we decided to eliminate that, just for clarity's sake. Although it's hard to see on the box, our version drops the symbol for "Orthodox Union" (circle-u) -- Kosher certification -- but nobody's going to notice that. Also, the image I was provided (he found it online) was an older version, and indicated "for over 70 years" but today the package reads "for over 75..." If I get the chance, I'll get a photo of the entire display in his store. (I also did some LEGO freight train cars, which are part of his Holiday-theme setup)

slice&dice 2,450 Posted November 13, 2015 Old Bay's lawyers are going to be all over you for that one! Hehehe!! I actually should be paid EXTRA for promoting them so nicely ---- Tens of thousands of families will be visiting these LEGO displays (including the decorated village and Christmas Train and the StarWars action scene). Within the vast array, OldBay will be given free advertising, and who doesn't like free advertising?!! Thanks rlvied, I feel ya !! I'm a fan of it on chicken, on the grill.
