PhaedrusZen 55 Posted December 11, 2014 I'm happy to try to do this myself, but have no clue how. I have a friend who wants me to do a decal for his office and I used the trace function in SCALP 4 to get a basic svg. The trace has kind of reversed what I'm looking for however, and since the edges of the object aren't closed I can't simply break the image apart and remove the aspects I don't want. Any suggestions? PhaedrusZen 55 Posted December 11, 2014 With the pictures posted, I'm essentially looking for the bottom image (minus the website), but ended up with the top image for my svg. I can break it apart and layer it for the different colors (just blue and red), but can't get it to the point where I can work with it. Any help would be awesome. GraphxNMore 282 Posted December 11, 2014 Why not just trace the apple and enter the text manually?

PhaedrusZen 55 Posted December 11, 2014 You guys are awesome. I'm definitely still learning the design aspects of the software; I'll try to remember about tracing text in the future. I still have to learn to think of things like this as separate objects grouped together as opposed to as a single finished logo...
Sue2 920 Posted December 11, 2014 Yeah...never trace text unless absolutely THE ONLY OPTION. Big waste of time and effort...all it gives you is practice at node editing. You will never get it nice and clean as reset text converted to curves. Sue2
