Blues 18 Posted October 2, 2014 What would you usually charge for something like this two colors red with silver grey metallic outline RTA 651 24" X 48"? Two of them.

lablover 218 Posted November 8, 2014 Just because I don't know....I'd be curious how you came up with that figure. I'm starting to have people ask me for stuff and I know I'm low balling myself big time.
pshawny 410 Posted November 8, 2014 It was just a quick gestimate. $0.04 per square inch for the first color, then multiply that times 1.5 since it's two colors. Design time and installation would be extra.

Using your figures I should charge $1.96. Can't make any profit there. Sue2
Wildgoose 4,200 Posted November 8, 2014 I charge $4/SF for cast so I would be $64 each so pretty close to the same. I work in 1ft min kind of thing and usually depending on who it's for I have a minimum charge per each of $3 or $4 just because of time spent on any single item. Incidentally I often charge $3/SF for calendared. I include waste vinyl into the equation so assuming the above graphics fit within a 24" roll the $64 would hold true. If I had to jump to 30" rolls due to an actual 24" design the cost would jump to $80 for the 2 color graphic.
pshawny 410 Posted November 8, 2014 Sue2, you are correct. Larger stuffs typically gets a better price than smaller stuff. Vinyl is cheap, time is valuable. For your example I would charge $7-8. If doing a bunch of the same design then you could lower it a bit.
Sue2 920 Posted November 8, 2014 Okay....that sounds better. I generally charge minimum $10...or else I would have every neighbor within a 10 block radius wanting some sort of "Sticker". For the attached file (one color RTA) I charged $12 which includes the "type-setting". It measures 3.5" x 14". Multiple orders at the same time are usually charged at $6/sq. ft. plus set-up/design fee. Sue2
