Chuckle monkey 1 Posted September 16, 2014 This is the logo for the shop I work at. I have made some hats and shirts, can Koozies, Etc... I really like the logo but I think it needs something else. I was thinking maybee the bars that go in a circle around the star like in a Military style star? I dont know. Let me know if you guys have any ideas that come to mind. Thanks!! 101LEDs 100 Posted September 16, 2014 Almost like the star is too bold, it stands out a bit much. Nice idea with using wrenches to make it.
skarekrow 1,842 Posted September 16, 2014 Too satanic... maybe shape a wrench into a car or the Initials "S&S" ? At least something more to do with the service offered.
mb20music 760 Posted September 16, 2014 How about something like this?
slice&dice 2,450 Posted September 16, 2014 Agreed, the pentagram is not an ideal symbol to feature. Unless maybe the owners are wiccans. This is 2014, and auto repair is as much about computer diagnostics as it's about wrenching. Maybe Shaw Senior remembers the 'grease monkey' days of yesteryear, but modern automotive shops have a different standard. If his Sons still want to feature a wrench, at least make it appear slick.
tshirtn00b 12 Posted September 17, 2014 it's a pentagram if the star is upside down, which, depending on the owners religion may work for them!
skarekrow 1,842 Posted September 17, 2014 I respectfully, beg to differ. The 5 sided star is a pentagram whichever way it is facing. True, Satanic Cults have adopted the "Upside-down" 5-sided star as a moniker but the word "Pentagram" comes from Latin. "Penta" means five and "gram" means image. For me, it's the wrench ends, with their flame shapes that lend to the satanic look as much as the star shape, per se.
Go-C Graphics 856 Posted September 17, 2014 This is how I used a wrench. Installed on his truck and made him some shirts.
