How to increase storke width?

I can find no way to increase text stroke width. Am I overlooking something?

its kinda of weird but go to appearance on the right then select style and select shadow and next to the style box is another box with a up and down selector. use that to increase it or decrease it.

Also under object is shadow layer which is similar but not quite the same, I have found this to do the best for me.
