theblade 0 Posted January 10, 2014 Hi folks,I bought an mh721 from a dealer through ebay around a year and a half ago who installed it to my laptop for me (via Teamviewer) and also installed Flexi for me (which I later found out this was a copy version) Laptop has since broken down and I purchased Flexi (the real dongle version) which works but I havent installed my cutter on laptop and have no software to do so and dont know what I m doing...my cutter is as new and been lying idle for 6 months. Please help me get her up and running again! (surely this should be as easy as installing a printer)?.....and cant find the dealer I originally purchased from. MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted January 10, 2014 I don't own your cutter, but you can start here. And it does not install like a printer. Choose your cutter from the list below and follow instructions. http://start.uscutter.com/
slice&dice 2,451 Posted January 10, 2014 Here's what I would do, today. 1. Download and install SignBlazer ELEMENTS (a free sign design/cutting application) 2. Get all your cables connected and your production area organized. 3. Open SignBlazer, set for a 4"x4" WorkSpace (FILE menu) then go to the DRAW menu, choose LIBRARY, and drag in one of the graphics located there. 4. With a bit of vinyl loaded in the MH, make sure you have the SignBlazer cutter setup properly configured (RedSail 800c driver) and let 'er go. http://www.mystat.com/Signblazer.zip (Download, extract to a new folder you've created on your hard drive, read the instruction file, open the installer for the version 6 first, then the UK installer, and finally, the patch) NOTE: turn off your antivirus protection while doing this, because the patch will appear as a threat, even though it's safe. BannerJohn 1,324 Posted January 10, 2014 If you have Flexi with dongle that should be all you need. Install it, and in the installation process it will ask for your cutter model. Any vesrion of Flexi 8 or newer should have the MH listed.
theblade 0 Posted January 13, 2014 Thanks I will look into all these methods.....I already have flexi installed but will look in the programme and see if there is anything I can do....I m not optomistic though!
theblade 0 Posted January 13, 2014 Have tried loading signblazer but said there was no output driver so have removed programme. Have looked in my flexi software(10) and cant see where to install my cutter(and dont remember it asking me whilst installing). Is there a disk I can buy to install my cutter as dont even know where to find someone to fix this for me...I mean this surely cant be rocket science(though appears to be) and basically have an almost new cutter and heat press along with some expensive software that are utterly useless to me...to be honest I m not far off smashing it to pieces! Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted January 13, 2014 signblazer has the drivers for the machine under "refine" - the manufacturer of your plotter. other than that you might want to look in the instructional contributions area of the forum and follow the newbie guide. When you downloaded Flexi software, You should have an Icon for the Flexi10 software, as well as an Icon for Production Manager. Click open the Production Manager. It says SET UP. AT THE TOP. add SET UP... Then enter in your BRAND in the First drop down box, and Your model in the 2nd drop down box. click next, THEN SELECT YOUR COM PORT# then finish. theblade 0 Posted January 14, 2014 Thanks again,I ve opened production manager and found the set up menu and selected but when I selected Refine as brand of cutter the options it gave me were ECO series Pro series and SP series...I selected Pro series (as mh721 was not an option) and selected a port but when I send to cutter it says "cannot open port"...is it a Pro series?...I cant be far away now! Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted January 14, 2014 I would have thought it would be listed as the mh has Ben around for a long time, but I would try the Eco series, as it defiantly is not a pro. . . . If that doesn't work try the Roland pnc1000 driver
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted January 14, 2014 Look under USCUTTER as a brand... Also If you cannot find that, you can download the Flexidriver pack. and install it. http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/201/28/01-flexi-driver-pack-uscutter

Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted January 14, 2014 sure sounds like a hacker sold the hacked version of flexi to you and then you willingly gave him access to your computer . . . am I reading this right?
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted January 14, 2014 sure sounds like a hacker sold the hacked version of flexi to you and then you willingly gave him access to your computer . . . am I reading this right? I just opened my Flexistarter. 8.6 Production manager up and the REFINE is listed like he said above. ECO, PRO, SP, BUT if you scroll down to USCUTTER as a brand, they are ALL listed.

Na it was the dongle version and from a reputable company...I looked under refine and wasnt there...aint going to try looking under US Cutter as dont want to screw it up again......the person I d bought my cutter from originally did however sell me the knocked off version....when on Teamviewer I can see what they are doing anyway so I had no worries about this to be honest. It does not hurt it at all to look, you may need to know that someday. As you can see on my photo, you just click CANCEL. I never went forward with the NEXT and saved it.
