can't load various file formats

I've checked for updates, made sure activation is complete, etc. I can't load jpg, bmp, and othrs into SCALP. I can only use png and svg files. Any ideas? 

 

I've went into preferences and deselected "Disable quicktime", still nothing.

 

 

 

 

 

*** I got it. Use the trace button to load, not import or open.

did you import them or try and open them you need to import them

For JPG use the trace button. I quit fooling with the other import functions now that I use CorelDraw I just send straight to SCALP using the plug in
