speleopower 46 Posted October 27, 2012 A friend sent me this file but I can not get it to open in Inkscape or SignBlazer. In SignBlazer it will show up as a preview if I try to import the image. Inkscape just says it can't open it. Can anyone open it with Inkscape or SignBlazer. Thanks. -Scott Blowsion Logo 1.eps
MZ SKEETER 4,718 Posted October 27, 2012 I got it to open in Flexidesigner,10, but it gave me an error and asked , if I wanted to continue. So I did.. but I don't think it is a vector file. It looks like some one just saved the file as .eps file before even vectoring it. And it was too new of a version for my Illy CS2
Dr12volt1338 116 Posted October 27, 2012 It was not a valid .eps file but here is the JPEG and an actual .eps... The .eps will need a little cleaning to cut though.... Untitled.eps
speleopower 46 Posted October 27, 2012 That's what I thought. My friend said he changed it to .eps. I didn't think he vectorized it. Thanks-Scott

Yup...people seem to think just stuffing that jpg into an eps file makes it right. Can't count how many I've gotten that way. In fact, when someone comes up with an eps file, I suspect right away that it's NOT. In a turn-around, last week I got a file that was obviously a poor trace that someone saved as a jpeg. I asked and finally got the original trace file to fix. Sue2
Robert H. Bigart 64 Posted October 27, 2012 If you load an .eps into IRFANVIEW you can save it to a .jpeg or .tif file load it into INKSCAPE and do anything you want to. Bob
