GarbMan 0 Posted October 6, 2012 I downloaded some eps vector files, but they just show up as black black boxes before I import them. I read in another forum that the filse were saved in a newer format and would need to be converted to an older format. What kind of program do I need to make the changes? I downloaded one program to do it, but it never installed an icon for my desktop or start menu and i could not find a app file that would start the program. Is this typical of Signblazer not to be able to open newer format eps files?
Sue2 920 Posted October 6, 2012 Unfortunately there have been no upgrades to SignBlazer for many years because the original developer/programer died. Unless someone comes along and updates SB, it will become obsolete. Not being able to open the newer eps files is a real problem. Why spend time learning a program that will be more and more difficult to use as time goes by? For an inexpensive entry level program you might look into "Sure Cuts A Lot" that US Cutter sells. It has had good reviews. Or bite the bullet, spend a little more and get an older copy of CorelDraw (X3 or X4) and learn how to use that...you won't regret it.
