and there are some fonts that already have tails on them,,

Yes it can.

Open the .PDF file in Inkscape and save it as an .eps file.

Import it to SignBlazer.

Create your text and position the tail you want under it.

do a little re-sizing and skewing to make it look right.

Weld it together.

Add your text in the tail and combine it
