However..I can say..I've never seen a grommet rust, and I've had banners in the field for 5 years with plain, nickle plated grommets.

However..I can say..I've never seen a grommet rust, and I've had banners in the field for 5 years with plain, nickle plated grommets. Well, I've learned my lesson after I bought press and print banner for myself . Few weeks in and I realized rust from the grommets lives nasty smudges on the banner. I'm speaking from my personal experience . Difference in the price for 1000 pcs (grommets and washers) between "plated " ones and 100% brass is $10.00 Now tell me is it worth risk and aggravation? For me it's not. BTW Here is the grommet machine: http://www.thelashop.com/grommet-machine/

So far, 1000+ banners and counting in the last 4 years, not a single complaint.
