mwdesigncreate 0 Posted March 15, 2010 Does anyone actually use the edge sealer markers/pens? If so, what do you use it for? (such as vehicle graphics, window graphics, boat graphics, etc..?) I've worked for 2 different sign shops, never used one, just wondering how commonly they are used, if at all? If I did some lettering/graphics for a boat, would it be a good idea to use one with all the water and all? Thanks to everyone!
ms_sign 5 Posted March 16, 2010 I have used them on boats, small graphics on cars, painted wood. I used it on glass once to attempt to see if the rear wiper would not destroy the graphic but after about a year it did anyway. $.03 Jon

Foghorn12 0 Posted March 26, 2010 I like to use it. But save yourself some money and use clear finger nail polish instead. Works just as good and it's a fraction of the price.
slice&dice 2,450 Posted May 27, 2012 Just a comment -- I tried to use "clear fingernail polish" as a substitute for the Seal-It pen, and the results were terrible. For one thing, the pen applies the sealer with a felt-tip, and lays down a thin coating, which dries virtually invisibly. The nail polish goes on with a brush, leaving globs and a thick coating, and dries to a glossy, visible finish.
