sennxxx 0 Posted June 19, 2009 here is a crwppy video of how it tracks on the first and second roller togather this is how great it will track on the far two left rollers togather,,,night and day difference. i will upload some better ones on monday
Rodger 527 Posted June 19, 2009 That looks like a bearing might be seizing ? May not seize until it gets hot , hence tracking good for awhile .
sennxxx 0 Posted June 19, 2009 well rodger the video of the good tracking is on the far left two feed rollers. The video where the tracking is terrable is the far right two rollers being used. it does it when its hot or cold.
midwaste 4 Posted June 19, 2009 To be honest with you, the tracking in the first video isn't that bad. I have an LP24, and it tracks worse than that on a regular basis. Actually, I don't think it has ever tracked as good as yours in the second video.
sennxxx 0 Posted June 19, 2009 if your machine is tracking that bad you would never be able to cut anything bigger than a foot or so.

I meant hot as after spinning a bit . Is the bearing sealed ? mayby lubricate it if not sealed . It seems the tracking ( vinyl ) went off track suddenly as a bearing seizing would do
midwaste 4 Posted June 19, 2009 It didn't look that bad in the video, but it's hard to tell. Did the vinyl just shoot off to the side or was that the end of the piece? I'll reserve further comment until you post better vids. However, I have cut pieces over 10' long without perfect tracking. And I'll definitely say that it has never tracked as good as your second video.
Rodger 527 Posted June 19, 2009 What size vinyl roll & how big of a decal are you cutting ? My copam wanders back & forth some & I don't bother to try to align it as I leave more room for longer cuts . The video looks to me like the vinyl comes off very suddenly , hence my bearing seize thought .
kenimes 42 Posted June 19, 2009 And the pinch roller tension is the same for the right side feed rollers, as it is for the left side feed rollers? Have you tried taking off the pinch rollers and swapping them around to see if they are the culprit?
sennxxx 0 Posted June 19, 2009 yep, have done all the above with no change
sennxxx 0 Posted June 19, 2009 15" oracal and when u see it fall thats because it was a 4 foot piece of vinyl that fead all the way through
kenimes 42 Posted June 19, 2009 yep, have done all the above with no change Not the pinch rollers then. Sounds like a feed roller issue to me, and again, I would ask for an exchange.
sennxxx 0 Posted June 19, 2009 The problem is that you have a perfectly good cutter! Defective is not it's status what-so-ever. I invited you to have a conversation but instead you continue to rant. We will not replace your cutter... However I believe we could trade your cutter in for a refurbished model providing you paid shipping and a swap fee. I would alos expect some positive press from you on the forums. The new refurbished cutter could be hand selected by Levi and I, filtered for tracking better than the standard 6-7 feet. BRANDON DAVIS US CUTTER SUPPORT SPECIALIST & CUSTOMER ADVOCATE this is what i have been offered as of today...... so i have to come out of pocket another $150 to $200 bucks to get my defective cutter swaped out and i have already paid $55.00 to have it shiped back for a "repair" so take the 500 i paid for it plus the 55 for the last time i shipped and then im guessing 200 more im at a 24"copam price
kenimes 42 Posted June 19, 2009 I am at a loss for words then....how sad.

swaneejuggalo 0 Posted June 20, 2009 I will not buy another cutter from us cutter unless they do something different..I just can't afford to come out of pocket if something .like this happens I'd rather go with a more reliable company... :'( sad day indeed you guys used to be so good.... BannerJohn 1,324 Posted June 20, 2009 I hope this gets settled but all I can say is this: I have 2 different brands of cutters and I would be happy to have perfect tracking for 6 feet all of the time on eather one of them. I've not seen many low-end friction fed cutters that do. IN fact, I never have.
kenimes 42 Posted June 20, 2009 Yea, you certainly should expect a little drift on friction feed cutters.
swaneejuggalo 0 Posted June 20, 2009 A little drift is one thing but 6 to 12" is ridiculous..
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted June 20, 2009 A little drift is one thing but 6 to 12" is ridiculous.. I've never seen one that drifted that much either if the vinyl was loaded reasonably straight and the machine was in proper working order. Maybe
cutme 5 Posted June 20, 2009 well my laserpoint tracks really well. the pic on the left is only half of the distance i cut that day... http://stickersnthings.com/signs.html bb
