:thumbsup: . Taught me that alot is not a correct word . Allot means to distribute . I have used alot as " many " .. alot of things Jenny is right about .  :) It is going to be hard not to use " alot " ... what is the best replacement besides many ;D

alot should be 'a lot'. 2 separate words. There is no such word as alot.

  In street terms alot & a lot carries the meaning I use it for . According to the dictionary , alot isn't a word & a lot carries a different meaning than what i have used it for all of my life ..  :thumbsup:

edit ; ' much " seems to carry the closest meaning .

I won't be using that  :thumbsup: . There are MANY slang terms that for lack of a better term  too  " GHETTO " for me . I will probably keep using alot as it seems many know what it means & use it . We will just be ahead of our time . Maybe It will become a proper word like so many slang words have already  ;D
