How do you put the measurements on

How do you put the measurements of the item on the proof. I want the length and height to show on the proof how do you do that?

yeah thats the rulers on the screen i want them on the proof lets say I was to print it out. Does that make sense?

I'm not an illustrator person but if the above instructions didn't work for you I think you could try this. With everything in view you want press the print screen button. That copies the screen view to the clipboard. Paste the clipboard as a new image. Select and copy the rulers. Then paste them onto your image. I've done this before with other imaging programs.
