I think it's only offered in the Ltr and Pro versions, just had a dig around mine and couldn't find it

Have you registered VM? i believe some of the software will put a line thru when sent to cut if not registered, but I'm still new to this so ymmv

*Update After reading some helpful souls solution (somewhere here) about what he did to correct the issue I went ahead and did the same. So, here's what worked for me (total things done) Anti-static wire between plotter and stand Anti-static kit (wire draped across vinyl) anti-static kit Installed PCIe serial port and used null modem cable (the one supplied with the plotter) I'm not sure exactly what 'fixed' the issues I was seeing but they've gone away since changing the above. One thing to note is that I do have the tripplite keyspan adapter and that didn't solve my issues, I have a feeling my issues were all static related so using the keyspan wouldn't have fixed them but I thought I'd mention it anyway. So right now (touch wood) my MH is working like a champ! Thanks to everyone who helped in someway, directly or indirectly

So I purchased a MH 871 MK2 Aug 18, 2016, I set it up with the anti-static cable and removing the paint on the stand as directed. I'm using the keyspan triplite usb adapter on a windows 8 machine and running vinyl master - cut I've had varying successes but that last few times cutting have been a bust, I've attached the vdoc of what I'm trying to cut. It cuts the large lettering great but midpoint thru the bottom section it craps the bed and starts cutting a perpendicular line through the vinyl (ruining it) I've heard about the static issues and the large file issues but I don't think this is a large file problem as it's really only text. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dog Trainer plus MPT2.vDoc

So I bought a MH871 a couple of weeks back, I've been having great fun with cutting decals etc, I even bought a cheapo heat press and have made a couple of tshirts. Seeing a digital design become something real and tangible is very cool. Anyway, as you guys already know and I'm finding out, the MH is pretty much the bottom of the barrel and the more I'm spending time with the MH the more I'm seeing it's limitations. So I've been looking at the Graphtec as I think it fits the bill, my question is "is $2K on a new plotter that'll only ever be used as a hobby machine and not a money making venture overkill?" Now I do understand that this question is 100% subjective as that much money means different things to different people, I'm just after everyone's thoughts if they wanted to chime in. Thanks again for everyones advice!

Thanks @Wildgoose, Great advice as always. I've taken a slightly different direction in my plans. I picked up a used Roland Stika (15inch) for $300 and having a blast playing with it. I know it's really just a hobby machine but I'm having a ton of fun just playing around with it. It's such a nice feeling to put vinyl in and it just cuts, no static issues, no USB/serial issues, just click cut and away it goes

Funnily enough I did this just last night, signyouup is spot on, you have to deactivate via the application itself, it's in the gateway section I believe

Just pick a used (very) one up from craigslist. This thing is old analog timer etc. The pad has a few scars and looks well worn, are these easy to replace and is it worth the effort? Thanks

Thanks Darc, Could you elaborate? i have the wire coming from the base of the cutter to the stand, I'm assuming you're talking about something different? thanks
