  1. I assumed that there is a better brand then the next like seagate or toshiba etc...

So any WD external model will be ok, Or is there a better one than just a basic model of it ?  Money really isnt an issue when it comes to important files lol....

The one that failed was A/C powered and was only used for when i did a backup like once a week or every other week depending on if i added anything or not to my existing files..It was never used for anything else but backing up.Never as a daily or weekly connection.........But i think about looking  into getting a larger USB Port hub.Right now I'm running a 4 port hub, It runs my cutter ,my one portable hard drive and my Wacom Drawing tablet.

Do you have a recommendation for a powered hub? I have seen a few and have my eye on one like my buddy cardudenc had bought we found online ..I like your idea of things running under their own power. So i will more than likely get 1-2 A/C powered units and a usb powered to take with me .. Thank you.

  2. Im looking to buy another portable hard drive for my laptop that will run off USB 3.0 ,No A/C power..Im getting worried that my other HD will fail even tho its new... What do you guys suggest for a brand to go with? And im looking at least 3tb storage as well..I have been looking everywhere and there is so much out there now ,i cant decide ,My last one i had was a WD and it failed while doing a 2nd-ary backup of it and i lost over 10,000 photos of my photography work.Luckily i had another Hd that had my Design stuff on it ,But lost my original  Hi Res files of everything else,? thanks for your help..

  3. Quick note ,.,That blade should be sticking out maybe less than a hair width or less. I have seen some people think that there should be a ton of blade exposed and thats not how it works on cutters. You will barely be able to feel that blade.

With my blade depth setting, i decided to bump it out a little further than required because i noticed that i still have some of the blade inside the holder not being used,so now i have about 1-2 hairs width more blade showing And i actually like how it cuts ..This is my way cause it works for me ,

*********  >  Very true like Mz Skeeter explained.Very rare to have to cutters end up with the same settings.... You could have the same cutter and there will be a 50% chance the settings will end up the same...You could be off a mm when setting your blade depth and that could make a difference of 10-30 etc or more on your pressure. As for speed i think it would be kinda close tho, unless i am wrong....The blade depth and pressure is where your golden numbers start at ,then speed = perfect clean cuts.  Get your pressure and blade depth set first and then worry about speed last...If your not getting your cuts deep enough to cut ,Your speed wont make a difference yet.

You will like the Oracal brand. I use 631,651,751 ..... ..  For when you do test cuts to get your settings dialed in just make your cuts as close as possible to the next test cut, that way you are only wasting a little. If your facing your cutter, have your cutter start on one end ( Starting point  )and work your way to the other side each time you test. You will only be wasting a few inches deep and basically a strip across as long as you get it dialed in quick....I dont know what your pressure starts at but start at a very low number,if it doesnt make a cut deep enough  bump it up by 5 or 10 each time.

What i did on my cutter when i first got it ,was if it didnt barely scratch the surface the first test cut, make a pressure adjustment and go back over it in the same spot.It wont hurt it.. Once you see or hear it cut into the backing paper you know your close and back it off. Atleast on my cutter i can hear when it hits the backing paper( I have a Titan 2).

I do use inkjet but I use pigment inks from Cobra ink systems with a tank system (CISS) I second the JPSS for light colors, Super soft feel that you almost don't even know it's there, and I don't like any of the transfers for darks but the 3G Opaque seems to hold color good. (They all feel stiff to me.)

I know this is old and i already made a new TOPIC post about it and then  came across this post .Where do you buy your transfer papers.. Thanks bud .

Probably the epson setup ..........Where is the best place to buy Jet Pro 3G Opaque( For Dark right) and Soft Stretch Jet pro( For light color shirts? .Im gonna take a stab finally at this after using my heat press now for awhile using Siser easyweed and stretch.I just love my fusion heat press ,ive done a few shirts and sweaters ,and its awesome.. lol... Thats a beast lol.... Reminds me of my old computer my cousin and i did years ago.. Im a big cooling freak when i had my towers years ago and i think i had like a 12  fan setups in a case we put together .I know it had at least 4 liquid cooled fans that were pushing and pulling air just on the board. I think the liquid was a blue color and had to pour it in a clear box that mounted in the case and it was like 5x5 with hoses coming out everywhere , 2  fans across the bottom of the case pulling air in, 3 fans  in the back pulling air in ,3 fans in the front pushing air  out. and everything had filters to keep dust out., If i remember correctly it didnt get over 80 degrees .It had a digital Temp on the front top in green ,  I have no idea where he got the case from but this thing was huge. I think it was like 24" tall and like 15" wide. and it didnt have slide off sides,They were hinged. I think it was from over seas or something . I wish i had pictures of it . It had lights all thru it as well. . But that was years ago...

I went searching as well on another forum as well for you  and i got this from a friend  about the lettering in the image  ---

" We started by concepting her brand via the traditional medium of paper and pencil, moving into ink, then finally into a beautiful final mark. Maud Boutique’s logo was hand lettered, so every part is special and unique, just like what you’d expect from a vintage shop." So basically your wasting your time trying to find that font."
