Font shows up as "Western Normal" but its been modified as well..

Hope i posted this in the correct area.....All vinyls has been removed ,So i am currently donating my time and they are buying the material.The problem is ,they were to get the sides painted at a local shop so i can apply the new decals etc but the cost to have the paint done was more than was in thier budget and they are asking me if i can do vinyl on the sides at 24"t by the length needed,Ive never done large solid pieces before and im not sure if i should attempt it or not since i havent ventured into this area yet.I will have to trim around the lower portion of the windows which is roughly a couple inches,So im looking for your advice on install or should i just tell them i cant do it? Thanks for your help.

Thank you , i was kinda thinking that, not that i dont think i really couldnt do it, but i prefer not do to do it on this for a first time lol.. I would rather it be on a more simple task,, Thank you so much for everyones help..

Thanks Guys..Just to clarify just in case, they dont want the white sides unless needed.,,They want the sides in a Blue color from the window seams down to the lower seam, the original plan was to have the whole sides top to bottom painted and then have the graphics put on below the windows,,, but now they are trying to put it on me if possible.the designs are not going to be the same that was on there before, 75% change to something different.

Just wanted to share i just bought this software and i hope to help others more with Font help after i figure it out of course. lol..

I just played with it for a few min cause i got to head out , but i like it alot for sure.. Definitely a savoir in my book. So far its been dead on or really close to what ive tested, plan on testing more later for sure, i think it was worth the money..

Aesthetics, what are you using for your design software? i use scalp as well.

I was hoping someone could check these out.I got the Vinyl QuickCalc and the My Roll Calc from here somewhere and i want to make sure they are doing the math correctly for breakdown etc...THe main one im concerned about is in the Vinyl QuickCalc Spreadsheet one. It wont let me add the tax and im not sure why under pricing page.When i put what the tax is here and then goto do a mockup sale , it doesnt do the tax,Tax here is 8.25 .If someone can modify it to make it work that would be great.And please check that the breakdown of cost is correct. I have a feeling it wrong and like i said i got this from the forum awhile ago when i first came on board.I dont want to screw myself on cost..Thanks to all.. Thanks Buddy ,There is so much involved when it comes to editing,creating,tweaking etc , its just hard to remember everything, so what i do is copy and paste into a instructions folder i created when someone gives me info like this ,that way i dont have to keep asking the same person the same thing...I will check out inkscape again but i will check Ai first lol..

i use Ai cs6 and scalp4, I have inkscape but cant figure it out at all lol . so i do 95% of everything in Ai and export to scalp4 or import if needed.

I have a up coming customer that has roughly about 60-75 Sq Ft of vinyl that needs removed from a Veterans 15 Passenger bus.They have offered to buy me the MBX Zapper Vinyl kit for trade for the labor cost and buy new vinyl from me as well.. Since im new to this still and i do know the costs to everything that should be charged, Zapper kit runs around 450-500 and the vinyl they want is gonna get me about $350. should i take this ? Dont laugh at me lol

I learned today when it comes to cleaning the adhesive left behind that you can use WD-40.And was verified by a automotive paint store as well... So Spray it with Wd-40 ,use a plastic razor blade and it comes off like a charm.Then use some good cleaner to remove the Wd-40 like rapid Prep cleaner..Worked perfect...Just make sure you price the clean off separate from the new vinyl so you know your getting a fair price for you on both ends of the job..

Did the clean off today,Removed the old vinyl with my heat gun and the residue was left of course.Tried the carb cleaner and it wasnt really doing the job.I found a interesting video and figured why not,it worked for this guy.So i bought a can of WD-40. I sprayed enough to put a light coat on the junk,and let it sit for about 10 seconds. took a plastic razor blade and holy cow , it came off like cutting warm butter.Nothing was left .WD-40 doesnt evaporate like carb cleaner does so you can take your time on it..Took some cleaner and cleaned off the Wd-40, and finished. Very impressed with WD-40 plus it is less aggressive on paint cause it s a lube.

Thanks Goose...the vinyl is really old and i did a test run with a heat gun and plastic razor blades. did so but adhesive is being a pain , a lot of cracks also, they are having it painted in a blue after the vinyl and adhesive is removed, i just need to get most of the sticky off so the shop cant say much about the residue left..so thats why they offered the new zapper since i brought it up...Ive seen the cheaper wheels used on a drill and if you dont keep the rpms just right then they wont work or it will burn the clear coat, the zapper is preset at the correct rpm, and needs just the weight of the tool to remove the vinyl etc, ive seen a few videos on it and it looks 1000 times better than the cheap version ..

I found out that this font is for the Denver Firefighters museum and they cannot find out who created it cause its so old.They contacted the higher channels about it as well and still no info about it.They are letting my local fire dept use it here and the work is being donated to renew a couple old trucks. .So it was given to me to find out what it is, I have permission to pursue this thru the proper people.so dont think Copyright lol.. So i need your help.Thank you very much in advance. I need to know #1 the main font for the denver fire Dept and #2 The font letters in the middle .Thank you guys .

Is there anyone who could redraw the middle font but make the center D an "A" instead .What would someone charge me for this , im willing to pay if the design turns out right, but i still have to have it approved by the fire dept, Ill pay what i can but this is for donation rmemeber, but your time and work is valued at something .Hope someone can help...OR if you have an idea for me to do this my self but my artistic drawing isnt very good these days lol..Thank you anyone....

My buddy had invented a new attachment for dslr cameras just over a year ago , paid someone to design up his logo etc for his business, After finding out that the person wasnt doing thier whole job which was also promoting as well. My friend decided it was time to find a new person,When he asked for the design,they said he couldnt have it ,He paid for someone to create it ,which was different then having it made for him..He contacted a lawyer and the person who designed it had rights to not give it or sell it if they chose not to.So he had to have a new logo made which was actually a good thing in the end for his business .Just me 2 cents.Since my friend had this happen to him.It all falls down to how the design was to be implied,was to be created for or designed for in the contract.
