Looks to me to be a modified or custom font... Try some of the Stencil fonts on Dafont.com Otherwise with my coffee in the morning I will see what I can modify to look that way.

can you copy the driver from the disc and paste it into the driver directory folder for Flexi? I am not real familiar with Mac's but I had to do this with the driver for my cutter with my version of Flexi.

FlexiStarter is a very basic text and graphic layout program. When I ordered my last cutter I got a copy of LXi Apprentice (Rebranded Flexi and same as Starter.) You really can't do much of anything with it except import files and add straight text to them. There are a few good tutorials on FlexiStarter on Youtube. They cover just the aspects utilized in Starter. This is just part 1 that I found. I think on Uscutters website they show the comparision in the features of each available level. If not I know Signwarehouse breaks it down with their LXi which is pretty much identical just a different name and it saves files with a different extension.

Make sure you are following the arrows on the registration marks properly They are numbered and have an arrow pointing which way they should load from..... Also if you are using a USB connection that may be the problem.... I had my VE R31 hooked up through a USB and had nothing but problems. It would do the same thing I could line up the marks just fine but when it came time to cut, it started to cut too soon which gave me a huge gap on the one side and cut through my design on the other. I read that some of the drivers for the Chinese cutters don't fully support bi directional communication...( I think that is the right term, It's been a long day.)

Yes that is the tutorial... And from what I have seen many of the shortcuts in 8 will work with 10. Most of them are carried over... I am rusty on decimal values from fractions so being able to just punch in 7/8 in the dimensions is really nice. From what I have read the main difference in 10 is they added a lot of vectorizing features but haven't seen much more that wasn't available in 8.6 v2

I don't think anyone makes a clear vinyl you can print on with Aqueous ink from the 1100. Unless you have a sub kit and even then I don't know how that would work. Even if the ink does adhere to the vinyl the sun is going to fade it in very little time..... Unless there is something new I am not aware of?

I have been using Flexi for about 8 months and thought I knew what I was doing until I printed the manual... There are so many shortcuts and awesome pointers... Also in the Contributions section there is an AWESOME tutorial that goes over a lot of really nice features.

I bought that same HP machine to use for a desktop unit since I am going to put a bulk kit of some sort in my 1100. I am VERY impressed with the quality of the HP. I have searched and read a lot about sub kits or something for this machine but so far have found nothing for it. The machine seems to swallow ink but hopefully someone will offer a bulk kit for it as I really like the speed and quality.

Once you get the Flexi Disc there is a whole PDF on contour cutting. I printed mine and use it as a reference all the time.

"Greenie" Self Healing Cutting Mat I just ordered one of these. Have you guys ever used these? I know a lot of you guys use mats like these are they really helpful and worth if?

I have 8.6 V2 on my cutting computer but I want something I can design with on my laptop and just save the file and cut it on the other computer. A lot of times people I know want me to come by and design stuff it would be nice to be able to design it while I'm there fully and just save a flexi file instead of getting it close then having to tweak it at home. LXi doesn't allow much of anything expect importing and straight line text. Can't fit to curves or anything. I used to use SB but with how the resolution is it always looks bad on the screen and people get learry about it.

Like Skeeter said worst case prefeed your vinyl and see how it tracks.

I would have as many people you can fit (and still function) in the space you are renting. Luckily I have a few friends who come and help me and all it costs me is a few beers and cheeseburgers at the end of the day.

Does starter 10 offer anything better then start 8.6? I am looking at putting something better on my laptop all I have on it is LXi Apprentice and it has nothing to offer really.

Is it on cd or dvd? Windows Xp? If its an HP machine one of the windows updates messed up some of the HP disk drives to where they will not read CD's. Had this issue on my cutting machine had to find an old driver for it and load that.
