I didn't get the photo either but the announcement is exciting. I have no money to buy one, no need to buy one, nothing to make with one, but I WANT ONE!! Like any new technology they will continue to get better and better and cheaper and cheaper. If someone is good enough with 3D CAD work the time seems right to buy one and start a business building prototypes for inventors that can't buy their own.

Thanks to the tech support at Conde I finally got my Ricoh 3110 installed tonight. I have to admit, at the cost of the cartridges it was a little nerve wracking firing it up the first time! Anyway, I made a sample bag tag for my daughter's orcherstra instructor as we have been talking about doing some business together. I might be making tags for each of their instruments as well as for the students when they go on their field trip. I'm also working on a window decal design for the. The "Cut the pineapple" name tag is an inside joke at work. Not too bad for my first attempt.

Just a quick update...I picked up both presses today, all was as advertised. Hopefully I'll have time later this week to clean them up, check the temperatures, and figure out what I want to do with them!

I tried to commit to buying with the option to pay upon picking up the item but that wasn't an option. I did fully commit to buying, after paying the shipping charges ($2.52). I heard from the seller who said they didn't want to ship as they have had too many problem when shipping heavy items. I have their e-mail address, street address, and phone number so I'm feeling pretty confident. Thanks to the power of Google street view I see that the neighborhood looks pretty good, not rundown or sketchy at all. I'll be going Saturday afternoon on my way to a graduation party.

It's more than the second time. There was a guy lured via a CL ad here near Cleveland, he answered an ad for a job and two guys were there to meet him, dragged him into the woods and killed him. Scary stuff.

I already planned to go with nothing more than the cash for the presses and my drivers license. Figured if it is a robbery they won't get much, possibly my car I guess. Maybe I should take a witness, someone I can run faster than so I have a chance at getting away.

I couldn't believe the price jump from the 3110 to the larger Ricoh printer. Sublimation printers get real expensive real fast.

Not a bad idea, if it's on the up and up he should have no problem meeting me somewher public. Only problem is I couldn't test them out first but for the price it's not a bad risk.

jaybird - Wow, way to scare me! Normally if I buy / sell from Craigslist for something small enough I'll ask to meet in a neutral place, someplace public. I don't like the idea of strangers coming to my house and scoping out all my belongings. This is why I don't bother selling cheap items, it's an easy way for people to come over and stake out my house.

All great points, sometimes with risk you get rewarded, sometimes you get punished. Time will tell on this one.

The Ricoh is the best fit for me now, if this becomes big enough business for me I'll upgrade to a printer that can handle bulk ink but for now it's the best fit for my situation.

It's only a great deal if he actually has what he posted. My concern is if he doesn't get back to me. I don't have a CCW so I'll be going into a potentially bad neighborhood without unarmed so I'm a little apprehensive! Seriously though, I'm hoping this works out, I"m not giving up on it yet! Still haven't heard back from the seller yet.

Mz SKEETER - What part sounds like an EBay violation to you, the fact that he won't ship? I was a little confused on teh $2.32 for shipping to. I'm wondering if maybe he used a previous post as a template and that had a shipping charge in it and he didn't catch that it was also in this local pickup only ad. I have committed to buy but had to request a new total price from the seller as when I select the pickup option the option to pay upon pickup was grayed out due to my address. If he doesn't get back to me today I'll contact EBay to see how I back out of my committment to buy.

Thanks all. I learned a couple of things, like to hide the layer with the boundry lines so it doesn't print onto the artwork. jaybird - As much as I hate to spend the money so soon I'm planning on order another set of cartridges very soon.
