My parents are actually here this weekend and coming week from Michigan. They also bring their 5th wheel and stay at a local camp ground. I dont call it camping like it was when I was younger and we slept in a tent lol. Their 5th wheel has a fireplace and an island in the "kitchen"

I also still run 3.051 without issue. With these design/cutting programs I learned "If it aint broke, dont fix it". I still design in CorelDraw and cut with SCALP. Flexi still installed but it still dont like my SC for detailed cuts so I dont use it.

I stopped using flexi with my SC and went back to SCALP to cut with. Flexi sends the packet differently the SCALP as well and overloads the memory in the SC. I can send highly detailed cuts through SCALP with no issues that freeze up the cutter if sent through flexi. Another LONG thread about it and using others flexi setting to try to combat it with no progress. Just not "compatible" with the SC in my opinion for much detail. I design in CorelDraw and use the patch to send from CorelDraw right into SCALP.

Yeah I was confused on why they would be using 351 myself. And greenstar I wouldnt use personally either. I use it for shipping tape and testing only. especially around a wiper like that.

I have my personal at gmail and my business at my domain. That way I can keep them separate and looks quazie professional. I leave my outlook to handle only my business email and use gmail.com for my personal

Yeah I do sub work for someone where I give them a better then retail deal cause they come to me and he sells for retail and we both make money and he never really has to do anything but take the order.

Ive never had much luck on ebay. Decals or other stuff not related.
-
Yeah greenstar for only practice cuts to see if I can cut something highly detailed and packing tape here.

Ive hunted off and on for 25 years and never had the need for a camo gun. Just a novelty in my opinion as its never interfered with my ability to get different types of game

It looks like they took the original POW/MIA image and manipulated it to look like a waving flag.

Thank you very much for the info. Going to have to give that a try. Im using extra fine black diamond currently and works really well on most surfaces, just doesnt cut glass as deep as Id like...like yours

HA Im from flint.....a lot more crooked stuff going on there then copyright infringement.

yeah you just need to make small adjustment. Mine will do same thing if I use lines on front and back. They changed the support page so cant link right to it
Go to
http://www.uscuttersupport.com/kbpage.php
and type in
Why is my cutter making the vinyl go sideways?
-
I know on mine the lines in front and back arent lined up. I have to line it up then feed it through, then adjust the left side a little depending on which way its feeding off. Unless its REALLY crooked then maybe 1 of your rollers isnt tight. Use all 3 rollers and make sure your not locked down in the middle where the white thing is showing you there is no roller.

Very nice. I like how the crown gives the base a nice look, instead of just a boxy base. What material/grit are you blasting and masking with? I havent been able to cut that deep yet. Would you mind linking to which LED's you use. Those seem brighter then most Ive looked at.

It's cool.With the color wraps I do I don't layer anything.
My problem is when I have a solid black outline that you're placing Red lettering on top of. The black blocks the light so that you can't see how to center the red on top of the black.
If the letters were cut out of the center of theblack then that'd be easy with a light box but how do you do it when it's red on top of solid black?
The way I do it is my black would be on its sheet and my red would be on its sheet and taped. I set the black one on the box, peel the backing off the red, relay the backing on it leaving about 1" exposed tape. Using the box you can line up your decals perfectly (even with black background) and smooth out the 1" exposed tape to hold it in place on the black decal backing. Then do the hinge method and squeegee the red onto the black and TADA you have your layered decal. The light box makes it much easier to see past the paper backing. I have done those colors personally and was a little hesitant till I did 1 and seen it was really easy with my light box.

Some people love to use it. Give it a shot, I just hated it lol.
-
Youd have to search but its pretty self explanatory I would think, if you have done any vinyl before.
EDIT: That wasnt meant rude. Didnt know how to word it cause the question kinda threw me for someone advertising wraps. I would think layering decals would be a breeze for someone who can do that. LOL I want to get into them but they scare me a bit.

In my experience, most definitely. I hate clear tape. Used it a few times and threw the rest of roll away. Ive done up to 4 color decals with no registration marks using my light box. Im about to build a table that is all light box.

Get or make a light box.....youll never regret it. I dont ever use registration marks, no need.

I have a GTO as well.....his best bet is to just paint the letters. Your going to spend way to much time trying to get it right size and font and then its a PITA to install in the recess.

I cut on small scraps all the time with my SC. Im a cheap skate....i dont through nothing away. I have pieces I cut as small as a dog tag

Oracal 8300
in Vinyl
Posted
Has anyone used Oracal 8300? I have a customer wanting me to work on a decent quantity project that would require transparent vinyl. Is it fairly easy to work with? It is a little more then double the cost of 651, which isnt a problem, just curious before I jump in both feet first with everything else I have going on.
