did you notice what brand of vinyl cutter did the small text that you saw. Most shown on the forum are done with a Graphtec.
-
you could try joe camaro or drakesis, they are reasonable and very good. their websites are in their profiles.
-
I do have to unplug my computer from the cutter and this seems to be where the problem lies.
Many thanks
Do you have the funds to get a dedicated computer? You don't need a new computer for a vinyl cutter. I still use XP with an XP computer back up. Plenty of cheap older computers on EBAY. with serial would be best.

have you tried downloading the latest Flexidriver pack?

do you get the same results, not advanceing , If setting it up different, say Roland PNC1000?
-
sorry, I cannot help you any further, your welcome, Go to the Roland website and ask tech support.

I did notice something though, If you are wanting to do long detailed, cuts without running out of memory, in that Default jobs properties, change your packet size to 1000KB, by erasing what is there and enter 1000 and change the curve quality to medium. You won't notice it. click apply, OK,, that has helped alot of people. I have changed that on my different Flexi programs, Has helped many using the Refines without running out of memory.
-
I just went thru a User manual, don't know what year it was though, and couldn't find advance after plot at all. Maybe someone with a Roland can shed some light on this.
-
I don't know why it wouldn't, I use Flexistarter and it works with my Graphtec. Do you have an option on your cutter for manual or program? Where all your commands are from Flexi.?
-
that depends on how little/large they are. I keep alot of scraps. I have read where people give them to schools or places where they can be used elsewhere, for children to cut with their scissors...and make things. Just depends on what you call trash.

I have purchased mine here for over 2 years, with never a problem and very fast FREE shipping. Others are buying the Clean cut blades. and love them, have not tried them as I already have spare blades, purchased already
-
also make sure you don't have some vinyl stuck up in your blade holder. this will not make your blade not turn freely, and give you bad cuts. I have had my Graphtec for over 2 years and just love it.. cuts perfect every time. never a problem. How is it when you use the pen? Good or bad? Do you have your blade offset at Zero 0 ? Have you tried putting it back to factory default? BY turning off your machine, and at the same time as turning it back on, HOLD DOWN on the UP arrow. Have you tried a different blade? possibly other got damaged...

I think if you ask support, the chip will work with your cutter.

Thanks, I'll have to check that out. Did you download that from the same place?
Nice picture by the way.
thanks, no, I haven't tried to cut it, was just trying to help you out. Yes, allstar both from dafont.

Actually I downloaded another ALLSTAR font that is solid,, no space between All and star,, and the numbers show up on it also. When downloaded it is called Allstar4
-
I just downloaded Allstar font from Dafont and the numbers show up in my Flexistarter on XP

make sure you have your vinyl to the right, so the sensor can see it. under the longer area, and that your right pinch roller is in that area also.
