If your saying the adhesive is the problem, then it sounds like your vinyl. can you do a sample cut on different type of vinyl?

when I open it in illy, it does say it is a newer version, and still allow is to open in older version, BUT it says the file was not saved with PDF. and it says the same thing when I open it in Flexistarter

you didn't save that file right, there is nothing there,

great, but next time your might want to put the dot over the i in graphics, It's not too good of advertising when the businessman selling doesn't do his own work correctly. You could still apply it. just a thought. Unless THAT is the look you are really going for...then just leave it alone.

on Flexistarter 8.6-10 you can contour cut without an optical eye like on a Graphtec or a Roland So now you can contour cut with a Refine series or a Pcut, etc.

XP is much more stable.. and if it has a serial port even better. Flexi is up to Flexi 10 now.

Ok, Well, your going to have to either choose a different computer or different cutting software, Can't help until you do that,.

and it works on the Vista? If so, why can't you set your cutter up? Or what exactly is your problem? you have never stated.

So what computer are you using the Flexi8.1 on? You say your using Flexi..

Flexi was not updated to Vista until version 8.5, Unless you can pick up a cheap XP computer, That is all I use is XP. I don't upgrade, I just purchase more XP. more stable. Have you considered trying Signblazer? You can download it here on the forum. It's FREE

Your not giving any info as to what your problem is, what vinyl cutter? what operating system? what Flexi? Pro? starter? You need to give some info if you need help. .So what is your problem? We can't help if we don't know... Have you read the newbie manual yet? Download in first post..

what operating system on your HP laptop? XP? VISTA? windows7? usb ports are still com ports. open up your device manager in your computer and see which one is assigned when you plug the cable in. . What ever number it is match it to the com port # in you Flexi set up. Here is your instructions from the Master vinyl cutter website http://www.masterwarehouse.com/help/

what operating system are you using on your computer? Flexi8.1 was made for XP on down, for windows, Flexi was not even Vista compatible til version 8.5 You need to go to your device manager and see which com port you have it pulled into, then match that com port in Flexi set up.

Your cutter is a Creation Pcut with a laser, this is from uscutter.com SUPPORT My screen is blank/has a line of black boxes across it. Posted by Levi Hartzog on 19 January 2009 03:27 PM Normally on a Creation machine the screen going blank or displaying black boxes means that one of the kill switches is being depressed. The kill switches are located on each inner wall, if either of these are pressed down the machine will cease all activity until the button isn't being pressed anymore. These kill switches are there to protect the motor that moves the carriage. In order to fix the problem turn the machine off, move the carriage off of the kill switch gently, then turn the machine back on. If the screen is still blank then tap each kill switch to see if they are stuck down. If this does not fix your problem you should get a hold of our tech support team.

when you are doing your job, do you have enough vinyl pulled free from the roll, so that it is never pulling directly from your vinyl roll while it is cutting? Pulling directly from the vinyl roll can shift your vinyl. Doesn't that machine have a prefeed feature to prefeed your vinyl before cutting?

your cutter is actually a Creation Pcut, (with a laser pointer) Look for Creation Pcut in the setup drop down box.
