from a different forum same problem Hi All, Finally got my ce5000 working last week (wasn't using the 'rocket' launched software! ). I had all the software/drivers loaded and was constantly getting 'offscale' errors and output <> 5 times actual size. A call to Graphtec and reloading the drivers (3rd install) fixed it. So try reloading your drivers.

I found this problem in another forum on a Mimaki vinyl cutter : person had off scale error. Maybe this works for your cutter also. from a different forum, same problem... an offscale occurs when the plotter doesn't see what it's told to see. there are several reasons: -page size in finecut is smaller than object -not enough white space after the last registration marks -printer didn't print it to the right scale (measure height and with of the object with the registration marks and then see in the software if it's the same, if not you can simply drag the object to the desired size and it will cut fine -media is more skewed in the plotter than you have in the registermark setup hope one of these sorts it out for you. do you have your workspace big enough in Signblazer? It has to be larger than the object your cutting..

If your going to use Signblazer, you need to have your cutter on HP-GL, look for it in the menu.

why can't you connect the other computer to the internet If it's there with you..? Just long enough to do your setup.. Or take it to a friends with internet, and download what you need.

I don't use an exacto blade for lifting the vinyl. I use a needle or pointed down tweezers for that. , works great. I use an exacto more for making my weed lines separating larger pieces, because I don't use the weed lines in the cutting software.

pick up 1 or 2 exacto with a metal handle at a local big box hardware. Pretty inexpensive there. I purchased a 100 count #11 blades 5 years ago and still have plenty left. Bought on EBAY, Cheaper than buying 5 blades. I think I gave $18.00 shipped for 100. Nice to always be able to have a fresh blade.

and when you can make unique items like this: You can make good money: Unique vehicle graphics is my niche' . I sell designs that others don't. And I am a 1 woman business, working from my home. I don't do signs or banners, or print. etc. I just do mainly what I would call cut vehicle vinyl graphics. And I do it well. I have no desire to go into anything else, just what I'm doing and keep adding to it. I have thousands of designs to take down and put something else up to keep rotating to see what sells. the only way you are going to make money on EBAY, or any other venue of selling,is to have a niche'.. Something, nobody else does. If you are doing what everybody else does, all you are doing is having a war on price. I am a Top rated seller because I provide great quality and service. I ship same day or next day depending on what time ordered during business days. ALWAYS!!!! -

That song WAS written for me.... LOL ..... I HAVE posted numerous times on here/ tips, suggestions, for people on how to make money on EBAY, or anywhere. I'm not going to do your job for you... try reading... Here is a tip> Good money is in large decals, not trying to sell a decal for $2.00-$5.00..... I sell large full side vehicle decals. I don't have to sell 50 $2.00 decals to make $100. I only have to sell 1 set to make $100, which takes me 45-minutes-60 minutes to make a very detailed set. A lot of the designs are less time than that. I don't hurry, and take a lot of breaks. But I do sell some smaller decals to use up excess vinyl, left over from the larger order. -
I would go with cheaper one. That vinyl cutter is a RED SAIL on signwarehouse. The price was raised on the Signwarehouse cutter up to $279. from $229. Raised today.. Look at the items sold. Revisions were made today, my 2c
