    MH Cutter carriage issue

why did you think it was the carriage it's self? That sounds more like a fried z chip. Zapped by static. Hopefully you have the cutter grounded to the stand if you have one.

    machine wont cut as desired

" i barely saw the marks in the backing paper" Means nothing, it is about how much blade is exposed out of the blade holder. You can get those same results "i barely saw the marks in the backing paper" with 10 times too much blade exposed out of the blade holder. The blade should be so far in your blade holder, that you would not think it would cut at all, and that would probably be correct. You only cut with the very tip of the blade. You use the force of the machine to cut with. Your UScutter SC is a Liyu cutter. How long is that rectangle? Look at the distance from the vinyl edge to your rectangle. Your photo doesn't look the same distance. It doesn't look like it is tracking straight to meet the lines. You should always have enough vinyl pulled from the roll and slack to do the order. Never be pulling from a roll while cutting. Slow your cutter down,

    machine wont cut as desired

Your cutter is a Liyu brand. That looks like a tracking problem. Also too much blade exposed out of the blade holder could cause the vinyl to shift while cutting. Make sure your blade is set correctly and that your vinyl is feeding straight. No mention which cutting software, add a little over cut in your cutting software. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should barely see and feel the blade tip out of the blade holder. Regular sign vinyl is only 2-3 mil thick. You only cut with the very tip of the blade. When you think the blade is so far in the blade holder, that you think it would not even cut, that is probably correct.
  4. If you didn't connect with a Tripp-lite Keyspan Adapter, and null modem cable, then you didn't upgrade at all on cables. Inexpensive USB to serial cables are pretty much like the cheap chipset that is in the cutter. Tripp-lite is the brand name and mentioned here hundreds of times as the upgrade to serial. Cutter needs to be grounded to stand if you have one. See if it does the same thing when using the pen tool, Static will cause freezing. Also those cutters have limited memory, Too many nodes will cause it to freeze up.

    Getting more than outline cut

Have you tried setting your blade correctly like you should for vinyl? I wouldn't think it would vary that much. Pixmax720 won't contour cut

We don't know how large of designs you are cutting, those inexpensive cutters have limited memory.(too many nodes) Do the problems still appear using the pen tool? It could just be static from the vinyl. Did you ground your cutter to the stand? You can search the difference between the serial cables. Plenty of info out there.

Also, looking at your last picture, Am I seeing right? Are you putting the vinyl roller thru the vinyl roll tube? The vinyl roll should be sitting on top the 2 vinyl rollers normally.

The Tripplite Keyspan IS NOT supposed to fit on your cutter, As I stated, it needs a null modem serial cable between the Tripplite and your cutter. . I would have no idea whether your cutter cable is just a straight serial cable or a null modem serial cable. They are different, wires are crossed in a null modem cable. The cable does not need to be long.

That is just a USB to serial adapter, not a Tripp-lite Keyspan Adapter. Tripp-lite is the brand name . You need a null modem serial cable to connect on the pin side of the Tripp-lite Keyspan adapter, then connect the other end of the serial cable to your vinyl cutter. Then the USB end of the Tripp-lite Keyspan Adapter goes into your USB port of computer. Download and install the driver for the Tripp-lite Keyspan Adapter. Reboot your computer. It will show up in your computer device manager (This) adapter may or may not work, as most inexpensive adapters have the same cheap chipset as value cutters, and you are not fixing anything. Below is the Tripp-lite, find the best price. Longer cables are not best. You may have received a serial cable with your cutter, see if that cable will work. https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Keyspan-High-Speed-USA-19HS/dp/B0000VYJRY/ref=sr_1_3?crid=10D0G0A7UNHS&keywords=tripp-lite+keyspan+adapter&qid=1650482086&sprefix=Tripp-lite+keyspan%2Caps%2C274&sr=8-3

less than a couple minutes. I use needles, they come right out. I use needles everyday, when I weed. Very handy, right there in my pin cushion.

Designs Having Lines Cut Through Them

In 6 years you should have gotten your monies worth out of it. If it is in your budget upgrade to a servo and go on with life. Time is money.

That Cameo Pro 4 looks like it has some nice features on it, for a reasonable price. I hope it serves your needs well.

There you go, and you said that you couldn't afford a Graphtec. Your welcome. It looks great. Which version did you purchase?
  14. How long have you owned this cutter? Which cutting software? Which operating system? How is the cutter connected to your computer? What does the TEST cut look like right from the cutter? Is the cutter grounded to the stand if you have one? If you use the pen tool does it it do the same thing? How big is the design? Does it do this problem with every design? Always best to run a value cutter on a serial cable or a Tripp-lite Keyspan Adapter (That is the brand name.) With a null modem cable. Those cutters have a cheap Chinese chipset, not True USB like higher end cutters.

Doing some reading. If you upgrade that Silhouette Studio software to Business Edition for ($100), You can import and export more file formats than what is on basic software. (below) You can also purchase the Plug In ($40.00) for Illustrator/Corel. softwares. Import Ai/EPS/CDR files Export Options - Export SVG, PDF, JPG (V4.1)
  16. The only USB to serial adapter guaranteed to work with vinyl cutter is a Tripplite Keyspan Adapter, with a null modem cable. We mention it all the time on here. I can use Flexistarter 10, on my XP computer, So that is not a problem. The Tripplite Keyspan will work on Windows 7, and has it's own driver. If the Roland is in in Flexistarter 10, then it will run the cutter. Find the best price https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Keyspan-High-Speed-USA-19HS/dp/B0000VYJRY/ref=sr_1_1?crid=P6BIP9OD39SH&keywords=tripp+lite+keyspan+adapter&qid=1649652345&sprefix=tripplite+keyspan+adapter%2Caps%2C305&sr=8-1
  17. Search for the user manual for it online. Just about every user manual is out there. . You can compare the pictures of the user manual to it. The user manual should tell you a copyright date in it. Copyright date is close to the date/age of the cutter. If you have Flexi 10, see if the cutter is listed on it. Search for the cutter online. The specs will tell you whether it is servo or stepper.

Your welcome That 24" has a lot of extra features. Dual motors, higher down force, cross cutter, can hold a 24" roll of vinyl and others, if you read the specs.

Graphtecs are NOT Cricuts. Same quality cuts from a Graphtec. People come here from using Graphtec Silhouette/ Cameos, and find that the MH or other value cutters do not come close to the quality cuts of a Graphtec Silhouette/Cameo, Next step up would be a Graphtec CE model. I run a large Graphtec

    Installation

You do not mention which vinyl cutter or which cutting software you are wanting to install. You have to buy your license from the software seller/company..

Have you looked into the Graphtec Silhouette/cameo series? $500 and less. Check for different pricing, different models. The Graphtec cameo Pro 4 is a 24" wide cutter. $500. https://www.amazon.com/Silhouette-America-SILH-CAMEO-4-PRO-5T-Cameo-Pro/dp/B08DK41GR7/ref=asc_df_B08DK41GR7/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=475826958458&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=985722619614874629&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016392&hvtargid=pla-1044151748788&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/Silhouette-America-Portrait-2/dp/B009GZUPFA/ref=asc_df_B009GZUPFA/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198078700236&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9429488091198071398&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9016392&hvtargid=pla-320326783191&psc=1 https://www.walmart.com/ip/Silhouette-Cameo-4-Electronic-Cutter/640228096?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=0&wl13=1425&adid=22222222277640228096_117755028669_12420145346&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=501107745824&wl4=pla-293946777986&wl5=9016392&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=8175035&wl11=local&wl12=640228096&wl13=1425&veh=sem_LIA&gclid=CjwKCAjw3cSSBhBGEiwAVII0Z0G90BHST2SMtJ_TKMb7mjCoy0qxeHSNWWHFr2rPoUqz5HgKFS2WmhoC258QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
  22. You do not mention what cutter or cutting software you are using to help you. No mention of how you are trying to connect or which operating system you are trying to connect to. That OP has not been here for almost a year.
  23. So you state you have a 53" cutter. If you are mostly using 24" or less width vinyl. Then only use the middle of the cutter. Don't start on the right side that is low. Or which ever side is low. Set your blade depth and force to the vinyl in the middle of the cutter. Stay away from putting your vinyl the first 12"-18 " from the right side of the cutter or even more, depending on how wide your vinyl is. Or buy a new cutter.

Best transfer tape for 651 that will be shipped

I use Nekoosa https://uscutter.com/shop/?search_query=perfectear paper tape. I have been shipping for years. Don't roll your decals up tight, just roll them loosely. Ship flat if possible. I use pieces of transparent tape to hold the transfer tape on the edges to the wax paper backing. Never complaints. I ship decals up to 16 ft long You should include these instructions. "Do not lift decal from backing. Peel backing away from decal." Logos? I hope that you are not making and selling copyright/trademarked logos. You can find yourself in big trouble doing that. With sellers stealing and selling copyrights/trademarks so much, Homeland Security has gotten involved. Selling copyright/trademarked items without the owners permission is considered counterfeiting now. Just because you see others doing it, does not make it legal. Pretty much, anything that you did not make or create yourself, is copyrighted/trademarked. It does not have to be registered, only created. You would need permission from the owner to recreate. Companies have copyright lawyers that just spend their time looking for stolen property. All the lawyers have to do is a reverse image search on the internet,
