    Which cutter to buy?

partnership with a friend always a bad idea - Just my 2c
  2. Most of the static problems are on the refines - the stand is not grounded and you must run a ground wire from the stand to the cutter to dissipate the static that builds up in the stand before it zaps the MB thru the cutter head
  3. Glad you found it! just make sure it's not too tight as to wear out the other components

    Gymnast

    Thanks - Thats new
  6. Sounds like one I worked on it had to have a new motherboard. this time of year also make sure you have a wire run from the stand to the cutter to ground the stand - static abounds
  7. I am not sure you are going to be happy with a regular inkjet printing on vinyl for this application, even with frog juice or Laminate. I would contact Fivestar or James605 about having them done on an Eco-solvent printer and see what they have that will stand up to the environment you are talking about. both are very reasonable in pricing and great work without you having to buy a 12000 printer. If I understand correctly what you want these are going to be in a particularly hard use environment on stainless and need to stand up over time to cleaning chemicals being sprayed on them. You coult order some Oracal 651 samples from Oracal and see how it holds up when applied to one of the pipes

  18. The graphtecs I believe are better built and protected than the Chinese cutters. there have been many issues with static and them

    Need Suggestion

also interested in which hp printers except the new latex that will print on banner material ???? or outdoor vinyl????
  22. I never had problems but grounded it to be safe - the t-shirt vinyl was creating a LOT of static that night
  23. Doesn't this have plastic wheels on the stand so the grounding pads wouldn't do anything? the ground wire from the stand to the cutter would do the same thing as from the stand to the building ground but mine is grounded like that also after I notice the amount of static build up when I got my graphtec and was doing t-shirt vinyl
