My Low-Cost 24" Home-Made Transfer Tape Dispenser
constricted replied to maxcat128's topic in Off Topic Section
those holes look pretty rough.. i'd probably sand down that burr i was going to make one of these but ran across a black friday deal on uscutter for the 28" app roller and a 12"x100yard roll of at75 transfer tape for 59 bucks.. couldn't pass it up considering i needed transfer tape and that costs $34 alone.. so $25 for the approller was a pretty awesome deal considering i probably would've spent at least $20 on parts making one and it would look homemade.. -
looks great.. your proposal looks way better than what they currently have.. the only thing i would suggest to the owner would be to change "Anal Glands" to "Anal Gland Care" or "Anal Gland Treatment"... otherwise it just sounds and looks funny lol

HELP PLEASE! Updated OS and cutter won't cut.
constricted replied to pitlik's topic in Mac Users Board
i would dual boot so you have 10.6.8 with your working setup and 10.8.5 with the new stuff.. that way you always have a confirmed working setup if the new one doesn't work correctly -
Problems with scal 3 pro ver. 3.064 after update
constricted replied to kustomwerxgrafix's topic in Mac Users Board
I updated to the new version about a week ago (i think it was like version 3.06_?). I cut one decal successfully.. After that whenever I would send something to cut, the program would freeze.. I tried restarting, and even reinstalling scalp and it would constantly freeze.. Wound up reverting back to version 3.051 and everything is working correctly.. Def not upgrading anytime in the near future- 17 replies

well i think the real problem is that the company logo is just 2 letters in a circle.. definitely not descriptive enough if it's not accompanied by the text 'Moki Designs'.. At first, I thought MD was for Maryland because I hadn't looked at your username

CE6000-60 Problem Number 2
constricted replied to theishkid's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Support Requests
i'm guessing you changed a setting.. i know in scalp you can set it to return to the origin point, advance a certain distance etc.. check your settings -
@BCOJdecals : i was thinking the same thing with centering.. pretty cool looking device though

So I just received a new cutting strip for my TC.. I know I have to remove the old strip and clean off all the old adhesive so the new strip will seat nicely.. Now my question is how do I secure the new strip down? I don't see any kind of tape or adhesive on either side of the new strip?

last night i tried peeling away at the end and nothing was coming loose so i don't think theres anything on there.. both sides felt and looked the same.. i'll try it again tonight when i get home from work i've got a few orders waiting to go out, as i don't want to send out jobs with wavy cuts.. that's why i was looking into the carpet tape so i could pick it up tonight after work.. i guess i'll have to order some banner hem tape and have shipping expedited

constricted replied to Pastimes's topic in USCutter Equipment Feedback or Suggestions
I have a TC and it's pretty loud.. With my door closed I can clearly hear it on the opposite side of my house -

Pricing advice
constricted replied to SomeKindaSign's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
yea i would charge 5-6 bucks each on those.. if you use some better vinyl like suggested and setup your file with some weeding boxes you should be able to weed them a bit easier. (1 box around the text, 1 box around the thumbprint) should be able to weed the thumbprint fairly easily as it looks like everything is connected aside from those few stray areas under the cross..i'd say something like that on some 651 would take me 1-2 mins, weeded and app tape applied -
i really like that we're here we're drunk get used to it t-shirt

Gold leaf looks awesome.. Always catches my eye when I see it in a design

All good, I've been there too lol

Well since you only said "Took me 2 hrs alone to make the gas pump" I assumed that meant actually drawing it, not conceptualizing.. Wasn't trying to assume anything or upset you That's cool you've been doing this for awhile and started young, I'm in the same boat.. I started web/graphic design work when I was 10 and I'm 27..

i like the bar doors, and the fairless hills.. the fairless hills one really caught my eye, something about that design and the teal with white works real work
-
well that's quite orange! lol anyway it looks good aside from them installing that 4x4 decal onto of the factory decal
-
looks great dig the design but why did it take you 2 hours to draw that pump? it's just a series of simple shapes.. keep working on your vector game, you'll get faster with more experience
