Application tape holder Response from other post
haumana replied to juniorranger's topic in General discussion
What kind of materials did you use? -
Can you help with pricing please?

if he has visibility issues, is there a reason he won't just go with color vinyl? If he needs some level of transparency, then quote him for the etched glass vinyl. I know it's pricey, but he's not the one that needs to take this stuff outside, try to make the environment as dustless as possible, then spray and wait for the stuff to dry ... then on to weeding and application tape. if spray painting is still the only route to go, then I would do a small test on transparent vinyl, spraying it, then weeding it. see how easy it will be to weed it after spraying. I think if you weed then spray, you might have drying issues with the paint on the backing material. If it can only be sprayed after the weeding, I wonder if the application tape will pick up the residual over spray paint on the backing material it's just a funky request. But then again, they are the customer, and as long as they are willing to pay for your services, then why the heck not. -
I'd weed it ... for a price.

The resolution part is tough. Depending on how badly I want it to be a vector, I'll up the resolution in PhotoShop from 72 to 300 (or higher), then work out whatever other outstanding issues there are - background, color, maybe blur the image to get smoother lines, etc.

That's looks like a weeding nightmare. YIKES!

The "clusters" (chocolate covered mac nuts with caramel) are actually made in Canada, but the other two (chocolate covered macs and mac nut cans) are made on the Big Island (Island of Hawai'i). I'm not sure if the stuff I took photos of will make to the weekend. I think I'm going to end up eating them, and will have to run out and buy more .... from the mouth straight to the thighs!!! WooHoo!!!

OOOooooo... Fire! Fire! Fire!

cut the excess out of a logo or dropping the background

ditto. I would try to find the font that you need first. If that doesn't work ... PhotoShop. -
my "goto" for images .... Google Images. I may not be able to get them in vector format, but I figure if the resolution is decent enough, that's all I need to start the process. Don't get me wrong, I can go through a LOT of pages until I find the right image, and many times, I'll have to search on several different key words, but when I find what I need, it's almost like hitting a jackpot ... then reality kicks in and I realize that I'm broke ... but now I'm broke with a usable image!

getting back into the swing of things after.....

My deepest condolences about your mom. I can only repeat what many others here have said - If there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to ask. We all want to help. -
No worries about "going there". I'm there myself. Lost my mom when I was 16, she passed away 5 days after her 40th birthday. Lost my dad when I was ... well, let's just say that I lost my dad 3-1/2 years ago, two weeks before his 58th birthday. I found myself parent-less at an (what I'd like to think) is an early age. Ditto on the cherish and love part! Treat them like everyday is Mother's and Father's day. I am always available to send "emergency" replacements.

I think (Banner) John has a home made with using a broomstick and some other stuff. I'm thinking of a design that i can use with PVC pipes. Just haven't gotten around to thinking it all the way through ... but I know how to make PVC marshmallow shooters ... much to my entire family's irritation. I think I need to save my broomsticks so I have a means of alternative transportation.

Yup-yup! Just make sure you post it in the right bulleting board .... now that we have a "Mature Audience" board too. regular (clean) graphics mature (dirty) graphics

Oh .... I sooo wish is really was restricted to the Big Island (Island of Hawai'i). But thanks to some Kona winds, the entire chain is getting blasted with the vog. It sucks. It was worse last week, then we had a little rain and a couple of clear days (Sunday and Monday), the we were back to dreary vog since yesterday. Where's my antihistamine??? Gotta go find my zyrtec. The only redeeming quality is that my jeep doesn't get as hot when I park it in the sun.

No more margarita's ... but that's what mojito's are for!!!!

It's the low 80's here with an overcast feel since we have a lot of vog in the air today. My eyes are burning and I will most likely end up rubbing them red and that will trigger the sinuses ... so I'm expecting by the end of the day I'll be miserable. worse thing is that I know that I don't suffer as bad a lot of other people here with this much volcanic crud in the air (sigh). Gotta be glad for small things I guess :-

Jenny - That's hilarious. I know of a few nieces and nephews who say that constantly.

Are you allergic? My old house mate is allergic. Apparently it's a recent allergy - don't know what triggered it, but she gets the hives when she eats certain brands of chocolate. She hasn't quite figured out which ones and so forth, so she just doesn't eat it at all. Not even oreo cookies because of the "chocolate" cookie. Go figure.

If you have the color chart for which ever company is your preferred media manufacturer. You can make recommendations, but always try to leave it to the customer to make the final decision. Five had the right idea though, take a digital photo and do electronic mock-ups. Good luck!

Then for sure we'll all be in trouble ... Sound like group detention at the principal's office to me

There is supposed to be some health benefits to dark chocolate, however, I think it needs to be 70%+. Although, like red wine - it can be good for you, but in the quantities American consume them, I think all health benefits get replaced with empty, but tasty calories
-
Only if I asked where or how your like to eat your chocolate ... right?
