Sometimes the human race is such a let down. Our ability for compassion is unsurpassed, but so is our ability for hate, stupidity and cruelty. I know some of you will take offense to what I'm about to say, I think the worst thing that happened to planet Earth is the human race.

I know that I bought more supplies and gave away more vinyl than the few paying jobs that I've had. But I don't advertise (which I should probably rethink that), and thru word of mouth, I'm starting to get a few business leads here and there. Thank God I have a "day" job. Hahahaha.

I would recommend visiting your local tv stations website, but I would guess that they are not streaming a constant news feed (you did ask for local).

Wow. I think I should find a cooler place to store my app tape. I'll see if my local supply store has a better selection. I bought the Oracal one because that's what the sales person recommended. I'm not married to the Oracal brand and am totally willing to switch, it might just come down to price though.

Does that work for all the US Cutters? Is there only one type of Roland blades?

hahahaha ... okay. I must have low tack stuff. Since I should probably buy another roll of app tape, what would be the recommended? I mostly use Oracal 651. I generally never have a need for wet app stuff, but I don't think I need the clear stuff either. I rarely sell, it's mostly hobby stuff - personalizing my little nieces and nephews water bottle, cubby box, etc.

tangent question ... why are scanners so expensive?

Is anyone else having difficulties with posting attachments? I know that they maximum file size was cut in half - but even my attachments that are way under sized aren't getting posted.

maybe it's a SNOW DAY! Wouldn't that be the coolest? The closest we get is either severe flooding - but there are so many SUV's and 4x4 that there really is no excuse for not showing up to work (I own 2 of them), or an island wide blackout ... of course that only happens on the weekends and never during a regular work week (sigh). But it definitely helps to have a filled propane tank, live centrally to all your relatives and have a generator so we can all watch Elf on the big screen tv after BBQing in relative darkness. WooHoo!! I wonder how Obama spent his blackout event? Hahahaha.

Rodger - Nice ass! Goats sounds like fun, but I don't think our property is big enough and I fear that it would scare my yellow lab - sinces he's already afraid of my youngest mini-schnauzer mix and the sun conure we have. Not a brave dog at all.

A member just put up a request, so I zipped my three little graphics and tried to post it (291 KB) and when that didn't work I tried posting the three of them separately, but that didn't work either. This isn't the first time that my attachments were under sized and getting bounced.

Are the .pvw file necessary for SBE to fuction? Also, outside of rotating my images upside down in Illy, is there a way for SBE to display the thumbnails right side up and not in the negative? (my thumbnails look white on black).

Okay, so here's what I discovered - for whatever little value it has. The cracked (UK) version v.6.05 seems to be the most recent release that I can get my hands on. The crack works and it completely removes the "Trial" mode nag. HOWEVER, .pvw files are generated when previewing the files during the import process, AND it also previews the files as white on black (even though my graphics are always black on white). The version the does away with the .pvw issue is v.6.0.24. while I don't have a crack for, or know of one for that version, the fact that it doesn't create the .pvw file is worth using the Trial Mode of this version. There are times when I just park an graphic on my desktop for a quick cut, and now I won't have a bunch of .pvw files if I happen to have multiple graphics on my desktop. As far as unselecting the preview box during the import process of SBE, yes that is an option, but I can't say that I have all my graphics memorized by names and rely on the preview to make sure that I'm importing the right thing. Unfortunately I don't have a printed catalog of my vector images, that would just be too easy I have tried installing v.6.05, cracking it, than installing the no preview "update," but since it truly isn't an update it basically down grades to v.6.0.24 and comes back with the Trial Mode nag screen. And there you have it. My two-cents, and that's probably all that it's worth.

As the title asks, has anyone sneaked a peek at their gifts yet? If so, do tell ... If not, what did you ask Santa for?? I haven't peeked yet, but I asked Santa for the SlySoft Software suite or limbs for my bow .... Because a new 4Runner is just out of the question. hahahahahaha. C'mon, spill!
