vinylmotivations replied to vinylmotivations's topic in Sure Cuts A Lot Pro
Yes, just now for it to act properly when either sheet fed or roll Fed as well as handle weeding boxes and lines. -
There are plugins to cut from corel but are more than 100$ just for the plugin not counting the pricetag for Corel.

Did I make anything???
vinylmotivations replied to CarterMarkham's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Low for even "Friend" pricing. I would have been probably AT LEAST 50% more for a very close friend. Triple for a regular customer. -
Are any of you long-time members having trouble posting?

Yes it only seems to happen sometimes. I will try to get a screen capture of it when it happens the next time. -

vinylmotivations replied to BannerJohn's topic in Community Rules & Announcements
I know sometimes, when I click post I just get a small loading icon and it never posts. Just have to click back, copy my post and refresh, then post works. I thought it was a browser issue, but happens across machines at home and work and on IE, Firefox, and Chrome. -

http://www.craftedge.com/bin/SetupSureCutsALotPro_3_037.exe .037 is out! Seems to be promising for graphtec owners. Have not tested yet! -
There is a USCutter driver pack I believe for that version.

http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html download virtual clone drive- it will allow you to mount and run ISO downloads as if you had a cdrom drive, dvd or bluray.

No extra options afaik, but it is still the FULL version of Elements...

I always use Corel. My copy of Flexi is borrowed and don't always have the dongle, but when I NEED it, I have it. Good to have tools at disposal just like a Mutoh 64" solvent printer! Just depends what you prefer to use and works best for your particular project. Pick your poison so to speak...

Exactly, even Corel is still 500$

pricing for one color decals/stickers
vinylmotivations replied to threezzz's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I have adopted a standard sizing scheme, especially for craft shows. 6x6" or anything smaller starts at 6.50 unless it is highly detailed etc. Beyond that, smaller or detail is discretionary but usually folks don't even blink because they get to see it being made. It's an "experience" as such. It runs up from there. Usually 10-12cents per square inch including design fees for RTA stuffs.- 1 reply

Sign Blazer is the "Elements" version, which is functional as a basic basic cut and design program meant to get folks off the ground with no added expense. Just like anything- if you want to do more advanced things you have to find, or acquire the tools and knowledge to do so. That is what the forums here are for

I think this is my first Show Your Work Thread......
vinylmotivations replied to strycnine's topic in Show your work
I totally agree on the language, but as far as his general demeanor prior to all of that nonsense, most of it was just a bit on the abrasive side anyways. -
Can someone please help a noob out
vinylmotivations replied to FullTiltRiderPDX's topic in Vectorizing
The first one is actually not all that hard, The vector'd rider only need be vectorized once, and then re-sized and layered. Then the text and mountain. It would still take some time tho. The other one, with the rose- I don't think that is a good candidate for vector as the rose would not do well in cut vinyl. I would suggest a different rose. -

Nice work.... Some folks just come off as very sharp or rough/harsh and I think PPB was misunderstood as well as not as understanding both. Hopefully he will be back and contribute in a positive way -
CE5000, Corel Draw, basic questions....
vinylmotivations replied to wagspe208's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
Thanks lol. It's very basic, and NOT for printed items- only cut layered.... but figured easy usually translates to the most simple ways. -
My initial assesment and continuing help thread
vinylmotivations replied to speleopower's topic in Sure Cuts A Lot Pro
The halloween file... Each of those are the specific formats for the given version of Adobe Illustrator wether it was CS3 or CS5 etc. Corel does the same thing... with their "versions" of Corel being X3 or X6. I have Corel X6 now. I did successfully save it as an SVG in corel and import it. One thing I wish happened in SCAL was that the outline lines, were finer or more slim and not appearing to be really heavy thick! -
CE5000, Corel Draw, basic questions....
vinylmotivations replied to wagspe208's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
In these 2 image files you will see smaller squares at the top, each one is actually two. A BLACK layer and a YELLOW layer that will cut with it's respective color. In the single, you will have a set of square registration marks for each and every one you cut, whereas the multiples you will be able to layer sheets of 12. Make any more sense? -
CE5000, Corel Draw, basic questions....
vinylmotivations replied to wagspe208's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
If you're wanting to layer a complete sheet, what you will need to do is create a sheet with as many as you need on that sheet with ONE set of registration marks. Or you will need to create registration marks overlapping and then select a quantity and when corel groups them, you cut them apart and layer each one. I will upload a file here in a bit that will demonstrate this. -

vinylmotivations replied to speleopower's topic in Sure Cuts A Lot Pro
I tried converting this file from CS, CS2, 3, 4, and 5. None of the above worked when exporting these from corel as these types, however, SCAL Pro did not crash either. -
I would tend to agree. The software should definitely have this as a future feature.
