I work 3 days a week at my "real" job and so I made it a point to order my Graphtec and supplies on day 1 of my work week, thinking that with $9 shipping it couldn't possibly show up in less than 48 hours... WRONG! According to FedEx, it should be on my front porch tomorrow, approximately 48 hours after I ordered it. Now I have to take at least 90 seconds out of my non-busy day to write a note to the FedEx guy asking him to accept my signed note as proof of signature, since I won't be home... all because you shipped it so darn fast and cheap! Seriously, who in their right mind ships 3 big, bulky, heavy packages like that for $9 and has them on your porch in 48 hours? You all must be crazy!

I started 3 years ago with nothing but a mh721 and sold decals at a local flea market on the weekends. i enjoyed doing it and put a lot of learning and research into the business i now have a 3000 sf commercial office with a couple flatbed printers and a couple solvent printers a large graphtec and a laminator and a 32' bucket truck I'm in a small town outside of nashville and we have done very well with just word of mouth i will say if you want to open a shop you pretty much need to be able to print that is what everything is going to bc it can be done much cheaper but most of all you need to try to build up good clients before you open a store bc there is a lot of over head we have goten lucky with getting most of the government work around here and that keeps us busy but like i said we started with nothing so it can be done

Rodger; a "very competent computer person"? Wonder who? Anyways, the PDF file download is totally benign. It's a good set of instructions on bypassing the protection of the program and basically what the patch program does when you run that. The PDF just shows how to do it the old fasioned way... And Thank You Thomas for creating and posting it! As far as the OllyDbg program link to in the PDF file. Well, it's also a nice old fasioned program debugger. Programmers use them all the time. They are only dangerous if you use it and screw up some other program. The author states: "OllyDbg 1.10 is a 32-bit assembler-level analyzing debugger" and that is exactly what it is. If you know nothing of debugging and have never hacked a program of any sorts, you're probably bewtter off not playing with it. For me, I am very appreciative of Thomas' work and pointing me to OllyDbg as I never saw that one before but will find a good use for it here as I am a programmer and use debuggers. So if you're afraid of screwing something up on your computer or have never hacked into someone else's program, I'd suggest ignoring the whole thing and going the way of the patch program. Which by the way, most anti-virus program do flag as a threat even though it's not. Don't worry, be happy.... Someone is just trying to help out others where that patch program doesn't work. No threats involved but a potential of creating a non-working program which can be easily re-installed if all else fails.

Make sure your blade is clean. Any little bit of adhesive on the blade will make things stick to it. I will usually spray mine with a little WD-40 to keep things from sticking and makes it turn easier too.

It cuts the same as any vinyl except it's thicker so I put my blade out further. The ones I have done I contour cut around the design leaving about 1/2". If they want seperate letters, I think I would just make the cling a box around the letter. Then you could line them up with even spacing. Kind of like the changable plexiglass letters in the lighted signs. If you are doing the rectangle thing, I would just cut by hand.

I bought some static cling to do holiday themed things on our front window. Apply the regular vinyl to the static cling and you can't tell it's not applied directly to the window. They are removable and reusable.
