    Tattoo vinyl?

So I have an interesting request for temporary tattoo stencils. From what research I've done, I've only found printable tattoo paper, which I already have, but not how the customer wants to use it. Can anyone recommend a vinyl and app tape that I can use so that I can cut the stencil, and the vinyl can be applied to the skin? I don't need it to be reusable, "one and done" is fine. This is how they would like to use it, but create their own design. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076J79N66/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_i_PFPRDbX3HTPBR Any thoughts?
  3. Give it a try you aren't out much if you buy a small order to test. I recommend a heat press first though. You'll be surprised the difference just that makes. I do mostly cut vinyl on smaller volumes. Cut vinyl is so much more vibrant than printed transfers and lasts longer than about anything. It requires a cutter, some design skills and of course a heat press but it's been a great revenue stream.

Jet aircraft are quieter than MH's. lol
  6. do you have other software that you can do the layout in? and have you tried that?
  7. I converted the single image file to .eps and tried it again with no success. I'm just going to have to print smaller lengths and toy with margins to make it work for now until i can get software that can handle larger prints.

I do love the Port and Company.

Who is your GOTO for Shirts

But it is hard to beat sanmars own port and company shirts for feel and durability. if a customer feels they are getting a quality product they keep coming back for years - if they feel a product is inferior they find somewhere else the next time. Part of the reason we don't buy shirts in cruise ports anymore - they are cheap and it is apparent.

They have great shirt prices. However if you are ordering under $200 (I think last time I checked), shipping is expensive.

being a stepper motor I wouldn't think it would be super quiet but usually the higher end stepper motor cutters with finer resolution are not as noisy as the cheaper units. will be curious to see how many select this for the wireless over the servo motor titan2,3 etc

    InkOwl Sublimation Ink

We've only tested it with genuine Sawgrass inks, so if you do want to go that route of finding an alternative, you'll be in uncharted waters, so to speak. i'm not sure where you would be able to get tech support if something goes wrong. And yes, as Dakota says, if you are willing to take the risk of damaging your printer or rendering it inoperable, then you are free to make that decision.

worse thing that happens is you throw away an expensive printer on an experiment - guess it depends on how much you do - my sawgrass ricoh printer sits for months unused and never has problems so it is worth it to me to know it is always ready to rock and roll when called into action.

I know it will kill the warranty, I am trying to use a good alternative.

We have not tested any alternatives for genuine Sawgrass inks. I would recommend reading this information on non-genuine Sawgrass inks that I found on the Sawgrass FAQ as it may affect your warranty: I hope that that helps, let us know if you have any additional questions. You can also contact Sawgrass directly to see what they have to say on this matter. Thank you for using the USCutter Forum!

Other than that it is good so far. It't not as quiet as I expected. The Wi-Fi works great. Plus I need to spend more time here on the forum so I can learn. After 13 years of doing this, I am sure there are lots of things I can learn

It wasn't just you, it had expired, I have just updated the link in the other thread, and I'll link it again here in case anyone else finds this thread. Here is the link to the newest version of Sure Cuts A Lot 4 Pro for Mac.

I did exactly that. US Cutter took care of the re-install with the patches. My blade is adjusted as you described. ALL IS WELL! Thank you all again

As a side note, if you have your other cutters blade depth at a credit card thickness, you will want to fix them with my instructions, that is way too much blade exposed. You should barely see and feel the blade tip, You only cut with the very tip of the blade. And start your blade offset at around 0.25mm and work in small changes to get the offset correct.

did you do the suggested scal 4 update that was linked? that was supposed to fix this issue. Prismcut is a very very new plotter with very few users so we don't have a lot of data to go on and rely on david to give us information

I just found this in another thread. US Cutter knows it is an issue and wants to charge people $60 to upgrade to SCAL5. Does the PrisumCut machine even support SCAL5? However, I am on Mojave not Catalina. On 10/07, Apple released their new version of Mac OS, Catalina, which now requires all programs to be written as 64bit applications and not have any dependencies on 32 bit libraries or resources. At the time of release, neither Sure Cuts a Lot 3 Pro nor Sure Cuts a Lot 4 Pro are 64bit applications and as a result have been rendered incompatible with the new OS. Since that point, however, Sure Cuts a Lot 4 Pro has received a 64 bit update. That said, please be aware that there might be a few hiccups using this upgraded version as the developer works to assure it is fully complaint with the new OS' standards.Thank you for reporting this issue to us, we have noticed there may be trend with the new 64bit version of Sure Cuts A Lot 4 Pro. In our testing, the blade offset appears to be off like the image above, and changing the blade offset does not resolve the issue. We are in touch with the developer to see if this issue can be patched. In the meantime, if the the need for a software is dire, you can upgrade your copy of SCAL4Pro to SCAL5Pro for $60, as it is currently on sale. We have not encountered these issues on SCAL5Pro, and you can find a link to that upgrade here on USCutter.com. Please let us know if anyone is encountering other issues with these newly released builds, and I'll follow-up here when a new version is released.

    If I re-adjust anymore, it won't cut. I followed Mz Skeeter's instructions.
