Blackjack2359 0 Posted April 28, 2017 Does anyone that has used Vector Magic think it's worth the cost?
Sue2 920 Posted April 28, 2017 It has a free trial download...why not try it and see if you like it? I'm happy with what CorelDraw can do.....even the older versions. PLUS, with Corel you have a complete layout program to boot. Sue2
Blackjack2359 0 Posted April 28, 2017 Thank you Sue
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 28, 2017 Pretty sure it is the same program that USC now sells as graphic tracer
Blackjack2359 0 Posted April 28, 2017 Hmmm, I'll have to check that one out. Thanks Dakotagrafx!
Blackjack2359 0 Posted April 28, 2017 Graphic Tracer Pro is exactly what I need. Thanks Dakotagrafx. Appreciate it.
mark-s 1,126 Posted April 28, 2017 Graphic tracer use to be Imagaro Z but the guy who made that program died about a year ago. The program was a one time price. In steps this other clown renames it graphic tracer and wants a yearly subscription. I for one don`t play that. mark-s
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 28, 2017 I didn't read well enough about the yearly subscription - I totally agree on that and don't have any software that is subscription based
mark-s 1,126 Posted April 28, 2017 I also don`t have any subscription or cloud based software. Won`t have it ! Vector Magic in my book is # 2 behind Imagaro Z. I would look in to Vector Magic as a good program. mark-s
Sue2 920 Posted April 28, 2017 I agree....I won't "RENT" a program either. Hate the subscription models. If you don't pay up, your saved files are worthless unless you saved everything to EPS Sue
Primal Decals 621 Posted April 29, 2017 I use vector magic and love it.
dcbevins 340 Posted April 29, 2017 I've tried Vector Magic a few times. But honestly, I find little difference between it, Inkscape, Illustrator, CorelDraw and others in the autotrace results you get. The varying approaches each take might suit an individual best, but the end results all approach each other.
mark-s 1,126 Posted April 29, 2017 I still use Imagaro Z, it`s my go to program. It`s a lot tighter than any other tracing program out there. I also use Flexisign Pro for simple stuff. Vector Magic is good but have to spend all that time getting rid of double lines. Inkscape is just a little to hanky for me. Corel ???? Ilustrator live trace ???? mark-s
Blackjack2359 0 Posted April 29, 2017 Thanks for the input everyone. I have now decided on using Vector Magic. I guess everyone is different, as far as what their comfort level is. I appreciate everyones suggestions. So, I think I'll stick with AI and Vector Magic.
Go-C Graphics 856 Posted April 29, 2017 I had a paid subscription to vector magic for about a year. Once I got vinylmaster I found that it would trace vectors just as good as vector magic.
