Sue2 920 Posted May 2, 2014 I have a band wanting to put sponsor names in white on their travel bus. BUT, they want it removable in a year or so if fans/sponsors do not renew their $$ support. First, is there an outdoor vinyl for cutting that is fairly removable but won't fall or wash off? Here's the kicker...the bus is wrapped....so this may not be possible anyway. Thanks for your advice. mb20music 760 Posted May 2, 2014 Oracal 631 is the only vinyl I can think of that might work.
pshawny 410 Posted May 2, 2014 631 is can be removed with no residue for up to 2 years and has an outdoor life of 3 years. I have some on the side of my house that still looks good after almost 3 years & that's with temps ranging from the 90's to around -60 with wind chill. If they don't pressure wash over it, then it should work just fine.
darcshadow 1,626 Posted May 2, 2014 Vinyl on vinyl though might be an issue. I know 631 is hard to remove from 651.
Sue2 920 Posted May 2, 2014 That is my worry too ... the wrap will probably be damaged removing lettering. SuZie
pshawny 410 Posted May 2, 2014 Maybe a print & cut with Phototex?
Sue2 920 Posted May 2, 2014 Maybe a print & cut with Phototex? Hmmm...that just might work. I fired off an inquiry to Photo Tex for their input. Don't need to print...they just want white lettering as the wrap is dark wood plank look. May have to clearcoat it though. Thanks! SuZie
