Solid Vector, Instead of seperate

Recommended Posts

I have this 24 vectored image, I'm trying to make it where the green portion of the 2 has just an outline and the inside gets cut out and where the 2 and the 4 are cut as one piece (that way it doesn't cut thru the 2 when printing)

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

What program are you using? In Inkscape, this is how I would do it.

First select the 2 and the 4 and do a path->Union

The green section is placed on top of part of the two so I would duplicate the green section and select it and the 2 and then do a path->difference

I'd again duplicate the green section, change the new to a different color, then do path->inset. Repeat as necessary to get the thickness of green outline you like.

Then select the green section and the small internal section and do a path->difference

Here you go.  I welded the 2 to the 4 and cut the overlap of black from under the green  now the green is one part and the 24 is one piece
