CarterMarkham 18 Posted February 3, 2013 I will be getting this cutter from UPS on Monday, I have been watching videos of how to use it and demos of it cutting. In some of the videos it seems people have the pressure set high so the pen hits the vinyl and goes clunk, clunk, clunk. this for example: Shouldn't the blade be the only thing touching the vinyl and not the plastic part of the pen? Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted February 3, 2013 you are only hearing the selonoid because the cutter is so quiet otherwise. it really isn't a clunk clunk - if you could quiet a cheaper cutter they would clunk clunk LOL
CarterMarkham 18 Posted February 3, 2013 My Chinese cutter did the clunkity clunk until I adjusted it. I hope the graphtec doesn't do it.

MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted February 3, 2013 Yes, it is quiet, mine never makes a clunking noise. You can't even hear the blade touching, or up or down...

Rodger 527 Posted February 5, 2013 I have never thought of myself as " normal " . I actually like the R2D2 type noise some cutters make . I have a buddy who bought a Roland cutter 20 some years ago . I liked hearing the noise . I was disappointed when my Copams don't make as much . I run my Copams faster tham what i want many times so it makes the moise I like .... To me it sounds like $$$
