What is wrong with my file?

Is the File in question a .svg or .eps format? If I remember correctly, SignCut will accept .eps files but was less error prone (for me) with ,svg. Also, if you can post the actual file and someone can try a few test procedures.

    font help needed

I hear good things about Find My Font software... Haven't bought it yet but will if the need arises. I have about 13,000 Fonts I've arranged in a File System of 74 Sub-Categories. Your submission's Styles that stood out to me were 'Sport', 'Square', and 'Futuristic'. (3 of my 74 Folders names) Your submission's attributes that I noted were the particularities with the 'A' & the 'T'. Typed your Search Word Example into VinylMasters' Font Manager & looked in one my 'Sport' Folders (101 entries) and found it. It was also in my Sans Serif>Square and Futuristic folders. Though most of my work is Custom design, there have been plenty of times where I could not identify a Clients' Font Submission. I have gotten around the problem with either offering a more similar/suitable/ better substitute or telling them to 'Purchase' it. (That tends to get them off of it pretty quick) Some of the Free Online Search can sometimes help but most Submissions need work in Photoshop first. I call that 'Plan B'. Software is helpful but a thorough Study & Understanding of Fonts and their Proper Application will get you further. Sorry it sounds so smug but it's true.
  3. Not sure which version and what Features you have but, working in Vm Pro's Cutfile Manager, you can Select the Object not on the current Cut Page and Click 'Merge' on the Different Color Objects onto that Page and Re-Arrange or Cut them to suit. If you don't need to rearrange the Multi-Colored Objects, you can just Shift Click the individual Objects and 'Send To Cutter'. Also, for Registration Mark Usage... Looks like it was created from Batman Forever....
  5. If you have installed the VinylMaster 'Extras' files (separate installation after Program install) and Rebooted your computer you can look in C/Program Files (x86)/FutureCorp/VinylMaster/Resources/VClips/Corporate and check that the .vClip files are installed. Then they should be under this Tab in the Program;

Select Cut Page or Cut All (H) to Send to Cut Module.

How do I cut this Name?

Far from perfect but, a starting point. VinylMaster alone wont easily get you to this result. A Pixel oriented program like Photoshop simplifies development of most Raster images. Ramirez_02b.svg

    Font is cutting three times..

QUOTE> "My fonts (text) are cutting three times, ~almost~ every letter. I do I fix this and clean it up." Odd that it's 'ALMOST' every letter... Are you trying to (Auto) Vector Existing Letters or Create them from Scratch? (ALWAYS better, if possible, to Create New Text & Avoid Vectoring Existing Text) AND> "It does have multiples copies stacked on some but can't get them off. I tried to ungroup and all it says is to group." Perhaps you can Group them then Weld them to Create a Single Cut Line ?

    Anybody recocnize these fonts?

California Plug (with a Gradient Fill & Outline)
  13. I have that FTDI Chip Driver if you need it... doesn't sound like it's the problem though.
  14. The GPGL is Graphtec Language... So I presume it should be set for HPGL. I haven't set my Lylu TC up in 6 or 7 years (since I bought a Graphtec) so I could be wrong...
  15. Could it be a Language issue? Vm> Menu> Vinyl Spooler> Cutter> Configure Cutter> All Settings> Commands> Device Language> GPGL/HPGL ?

  17. ... or maybe the Nesting Tool?
  18. Maybe the Cutfile Manager can help you arrange your Objects before cutting? What exactly are you trying to accomplish, Slice?
  19. (After Selecting the complete group of your Multi-Colored object on the Document Work Area) Menu > Send to Cutter > Spool All, Hold down Control on the Keyboard and Select all you wish to send to the Cutter from the column on the Left.

how would i do this ?

Sorry, been out with the Wife for a bit... I modified my Diagram. Red Square C are choices to Select 'Solid View' , 'Color WireFrame' or 'WireFrame' Mode. Maybe try those to possibly solve the Color Fill issue you were experiencing? Also. if you are on a keyboard with a Number Pad, Hitting the "+" Key will Duplicate anything selected.

how would i do this ?

In VinylMaster; When you Vector the Shape, be sure and tick the Boxes as shown Circled in Red. This will leave your new Vector Shape sitting squarely on top of your Bitmap Flower image. " Menu> Order> To Back " will leave you in with something similar to Figure A. Grab The Circle/ Ellipse Tool and create a Circle Directly over the center of your Flower. ( shown here in Yellow ) Select (click on) toy Raster (bitmap) Original Flower Line Drawing and Delete. This will leave you something like Figure B, here with Leaves Colored Yellow. You can then send to your Plotter and Cut each Color Separately. Pro Tip: If you would rather not Stack the 2 Layers (Single Layer Application), Trim the one layer against the other (or Punch with a Duplicate) and add a Welded Stroke for Overlap.
  22. After creating your Text with the Text Tool, Select the Object Pointer (A). Click the Lock (C) to unlock the Proportional Ratio and either insert your Size requirements in the Height / Width boxes (B) or Grab & Drag the Text Object itself. Setting these 2 Sizes should yield the correct Size at your Cutter providing it is set up Properly. The Read-outs in the D boxes are for the Typographical size of the Font set by the Typographer, and the Physical Size, the actual size of the Flush Capitals (T, H, L, etc). Here's a Video that covers most of these Basics.... They have a large collection that includes other Useful Text Videos HERE.

  24. In VinylMaster, you can add a Stroke to either Editable Text OR Text that has been Converted to Curves. ( any Object really ) After adding a Stroke with the 'Outline Module' Weld the Text to the Stroke together for added thickness. As far as Selecting just that Line of Text to add the Stroke to; Depends on whether its been Welded to other Objects or is still separate. Worst Case; You may have to Duplicate the Line and Thicken that one and Delete (Replace ) the Original with it.
