    Copyright and logo use

I gotta agree with you there, Smoke... Folks are waaay too fearful of litigation today. I would probably take a pic or two of the actual signs displayed at the event, but I too would have gone the extra mile and stuck their logo on it for them. Most likely, they would have thanked us (as most of my customers do) for the nice looking advertising, not sue us.

    Cutting gaskets???

Not a problem. It's prolly gonna be easier to just order up the gasket you need. (if it's just the one) and when in a tight spot, I've cut a few with a razor knife in the past. Good luck with it.

    Cutting gaskets???

You will need Gerber proprietary software to open that.... I can't help with it. Sorry. From http://www.file-extensions.org/gd1-file-extension "The GD1 file extension is generally related to one of the many Gerber formats. A Gerber File is a file format used by printed circuit board manufacturing machines to layout electrical connections such as traces, vias, and pads (the component footprints on the PCB). In addition, the file contains information for drilling, and milling the completed circuit board." What it probably boils down to is your gonna have to pay someone to use those gasket templates....

    Race car graphics?

Any vector art can be enlarged to that size without degradation of the image. Here's some scribbles with the mouse that are somewhat similar to what's on the black car; BrushScribble.eps

    Pricing Question

By the way, If I want a half inch square decal, you guys gonna make it for me for fifty cents?

    Pricing Question

Oh, I feel ya, Jay... There are plenty of folks out there that will do it for practically nothing. I say, Let 'em have it. They are working for less than minimum wage and racing toward bankruptcy. Hey, I have cuts in the profit margin, too. But I have stayed in business for 27 years on the principle of not sacrificing quality, and that has costs above the minimums but pays back to the consumer in real value. My client understands and wants the value of service I try to offer. The others are gonna price shop no matter what I tell them... generally, they don't understand value. Cutter and vinyl for sandblast

I think Bren handles that type equipment... http://www.breninc.com/Marking-Equipment-Stencil-Cutters-College-Grove-TN.html Here's a YouTube of them cutting some pretty heavy stuff. I've cut this 21 mil (?) product with my Lylu TC; http://www.uscutter.com/index/page/product/product_id/2275/category_id/52/product_name/Sandblast+Stencil+ (took nearly all 500g of downforce that it had, though )

    Pricing Question

A one-off, 7 inch, calendered vinyl decal, with design services and app tape applied, ready to install? $ 20 flat rate and I'll give you an extra, free one, to boot. Gonna take every bit of half an hour, start to finish.

    How do you?

    now I got it....

    How do you?

Right Dakota... wouldn't have to contend with any gap with a full layer of white underneath. Just the same, here is my original, with the gaps fairly tight. WAVVY USA FLAG.eps

    How do you?

I'm not seeing gaps in signcut... hang on, I can adjust that.
  18. skarekrow

    How do you?

Here it is without the full white under-layer... (not stacked) WAVVY USA FLAG.eps

    How do you?

QUOTE> "Not looking for it to be done for me, I would just like to know how to attack it so I can do it myself."< That depends on the software you're using... it's gonna be a little different with each. The general principle is to gather those areas of while and create another mask, layer, or scan for that color vinyl.
  20. What cutting software are you using with it? Sounds like a software settings problem than with the plotter. For SignCut pro under the scissors icon (cut), Advanced Settings tab> Lead-in length. Mine's set to zero. Was it always doing this or has something changed?
