  1. Your cutter is listed for set up on Signblazer. You can save your files back as an older version of .ai and import them into Signblazer. I would NOT mess with the firmware. You have other options for using the cutter like it is. Messing with the firmware is NOT advised. If your wanting a more updated supported software. Go to VinylMaster.com and purchase the VinylMaster Cut for just cutting. Your cutter is listed on their version.

I think my cutter is broke

When I turn my FC7000 power button on. No sound. Lower the media lever,/pinch rollers, no sound. It doesn't make a fan sound until I push the Roll button then Enter button. Fan starts briefly.then shuts off. . Tried it a couple times. I tried it also after factory reset, The fan does not start and make a noise until you push the ROLL/Enter button. Fan starts briefly and shuts off. Does the Load Media words, just stay on the cutter screen or what when you lower the lever?

OP hasn't been back since April 2018. Is your media sensor not working? Have you tried cleaning it? Tried factory reset? Covering it? Same Graphtec FC7000?

Looking for a mentor or consultant

Spend time reading thru the posts here, Years and years of info put into this forum. Buy a good cutter and get going. If you have the funds get a Graphtec. It takes practice, practice. Buy some vinyl and start. Check out your area, colleges, etc for graphics classes. The biggest thing is to find your own niche' or else your going to be be doing what every one else is doing, And nothing will stand out except who is the cheapest. Stay away from copyrighted graphics, Just because you see someone else doing them, doesn't mean they are legally doing them. You must have permission from the graphic owner to reproduce them.
  5. You can use the same Signblazer that you have installed. If you were plugging your vinyl cutter into your computer while it was turned on, you can cause the com port number to change in your computer device manager. Then they won't match. So it won't cut. Com port numbers must match in device manager and Signblazer.
  6. Setting up a printer is nothing like a vinyl cutter. Printers are pretty much plug and play. For your vinyl cutter, you must download the driver, extract it and install it. Then find the com port number in your computer device manager for the driver. Go into Signblazer cutter setup and match the same com port number. Those numbers must match. It is a Com port number. It needs to be 4 or less. Here are the instructions. Your cutter is a Creation Pcut with a laser. But also called UScutter Laserpoint. https://www.uscuttersupport.com/downloads/Support_PDF/SoftwareSetup/LP/LP_SignBlazer_XP.pdf

    SC CUTTER /DECAL ISSUES

Are you placing the carriage head at the far right side of the vinyl edge and pushing the ORIGIN button first before sending? You must do that. ORIGIN is where the cutter starts measuring from. Does it do the same thing, if you use paper and pen? Make sure that your design is in lower right hand corner of software and that your not using WYSIWYG in your cutting software. Those value cutters have better communication on a serial cable or a Tripp-Lite Keyspan Adapter with the null modem cable that cable with the cutter. That is the brand name. Value cutters have a cheap Chinese chip set in them.

    MH 871

Roller marks don't hurt a thing, the marking is caused by the grit roller on the bottom of the wax paper backing.. They come out when you apply the vinyl in most cases. You start creating other problems when you go adjusting the pinch rollers.

Correct blade depth is first to do, then your blade offset. Start at 0.25 mm then adjust 0.05 plus or minus Your welcome.

    MH 871

search for setting blade depth. It's been posted hundreds of times on here. When vinyl is lifting, you have too much blade exposed. Slow the cutter down.

    Help with Scorching

I had never seen this before. So I watched a video. They are applying the sub design first, to the shirt, then spraying them with bleach to get the effect. https://www.google.com/search?q=can+you+sublimate+bleached+shirts&oq=can+you+sublimate+bleached+shirts&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l2.18012j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#kpvalbx=_e7xPX8qqAsyWsAWporLgBw23

    Overlapping

Make sure that the pinch rollers are over the grit rollers on the bottom. Never be pulling from a roll while cutting. Always have enough vinyl prefed and free. Other than that you don't give enough info of what you are doing. Or showing how you have the vinyl in the vinyl cutter. Put pinch rollers equal distance from the vinyl edge.

MH871 does not cut deep enough

boost your force up much higher. Keep boosting it until you can't anymore. Your not going to hurt anything.

MH871 does not cut deep enough

Is this a new cutter? Or did the problem just start? Are you cutting the correct side of the vinyl? You should be cutting the dull side of the vinyl.

MH871 does not cut deep enough

What type of vinyl are you trying to cut? What happens when you raise the force?

MH871 does not cut deep enough

Let's first make sure that you set the blade correctly. Make sure the wheels of the carriage head are firmly down in the rail. This is correct way to set your blade depth. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and in your hand, firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should just barely see and feel your blade tip out of the blade holder.

    Mh 871-MK2 offset

Blade offset is in your cutting software settings. But first make sure that you have your blade depth set correctly. Don't use instructions that have to do with a credit card thickness or a post it note. You set the blade depth to the vinyl that you are cutting. Vinyl is only 2-3 mil thick, so you only cut with the very tip of the blade. It is correct blade depth first, then blade offset. Start at 0.25 mm This is correct way to set your blade depth. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and in your hand, firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. signblazer

What is your question? No mention of which cutter that you have. If none work, buy some other cutting software. Vinyl Master, Flexi, Signcut.
  24. If running on USB, value cutters have a better connection on a serial cable or a Tripp-Lite Keyspan Adapter with the null modem cable that came with the cutter. That is the brand name Tripp-Lite Keyspan Adapter. Your welcome
  25. People are using the Redsail driver for the MH cutter. Signblazer has not been updated for many years. Owner passed away years back. Why didn't you activate the software that you were using before?. It would have been more updated than Signblazer.
