JoeCamaro 11 Posted October 25, 2008 I was driving home yesterday after work and I saw an ambulance, I always stare at them to see the vinyl work they have. I think there is something wrong wiht this one: What do you think? Joe
haumana 1,222 Posted October 26, 2008 I'd have to get a lot closer than 500 feet to read the "KEEP BACK 500 FEET" lettering. Hahahaha. But then again, I should probably wear my glasses when I drive too. Hehehehe.
cutme 5 Posted October 26, 2008 you would need an 11 or 12 inch letter to be able to read it at 500 feet. bb
JoeCamaro 11 Posted October 26, 2008 LOL! I tought I was crazy, but I was right then. 500 feet is what a 50 story building measure + or -
Benr98 40 Posted October 26, 2008 Maybe they expect people to back up 500 feet AFTER they get right behind them to read it!! Hmmm...that could cause alot more problems
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted October 26, 2008 Maybe they expect people to back up 500 feet AFTER they get right behind them to read it!! Hmmm...that could cause alot more problems expecting people to do the right thing is a waste of time and vinyl anyway. In my neck of the woods, dump trucks have a sign 'keep back 100 feet' in case a rock or something flies out...I wonder what they expect to come flying out of the ambulance? charlie_b CFXPaintworks 1 Posted October 27, 2008 Here in Cali, as a law, you must stay 300 feet behind and emergency vehicle. I think it is there just as a warning for those driving too closely behind.
repodon 1 Posted October 27, 2008 i agree bannerjohn a patient might come fliing out of the ambulance gives you 500 feet to prepare for a safe move wounder if the insurance claim you fill cover your damages to your vehicle if the patient does come fliing out like a rock does on a dump truck
