phlint 2 Posted September 10, 2008 Greetings all. Imagine my surprise to see how many fellow Michiganders are already here and are also new. I just got my MH721 refine a couple weeks ago but have only just begun to try to break it the past few nights. I'm not a sign guy or in the sign biz, but I needed the machine to create signs for my dry cleaning and laundry business that has none. I'd always wanted a cutter as a cool toy to play with, and this situation made it a no brainer. "Phlint" is because I'm from beautiful, sunny Flint, MI - also near Grand Blanc like SpaceGraphics said he is. Anyhoo - that's my deal and I look forward to "meeting" you all. Peace, John
JoeCamaro 11 Posted September 10, 2008 Hi John, welcome aboard! You say you bought it for your Laundy signs... wait and see how many things you will do with your machine. You will get hooked and love it! Good luck, Joe
phlint 2 Posted September 10, 2008 Thanks Joe. Here's what I mean by needing it to make signs for my laundry. I needed it to make signage for: The business door (5) windows that are 4' x 6' a double sided road sign that's 6'x8' signage internal to the store window signage for our burb, alero, wagon, wagon, and wagon anything else that looks like a sticker will stick to it! Based on the quotes I got for the road sign LETTERING alone - this thing will pay for itself on just that one project. Once I'm done with those things - then I can begin to play with it to do things like creating stencils for sandblasting glass, etc.
