ciroalves 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Hi folks! I made some masks using Adobe ("ai" files) and I'm not getting to send them to a MiniCut that I just bought. To say the truth, I'm not getting to do anything with it ... Does anyone know how can I do that??? Thanks in advance, Ciro.
Beardown 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Sounds like your either not connected correctly or your settings are not right .... What cutting software are you using
kenimes 42 Posted July 17, 2008 The MiniCut will not cut/ plot directly from Adobe, so which program are you using to cut with?
ciroalves 0 Posted July 17, 2008 I just have SignBlazer... It came with the plotter. But it seems to don't recognize "ai" files. Do you know whre can I download a software that I can use? Thanks... Ciro.
kenimes 42 Posted July 17, 2008 You need to import .ai files in an older format. So when you save your file in Illy, save it as an older version.
ciroalves 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Isn't there any software that reads "ai" files and send to this plotter?
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted July 17, 2008 before you can cut anything it needs to be vectorized. Are you doing this?
ciroalves 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Yes I'm! "a.i" files are vector files.
Beardown 0 Posted July 17, 2008 Yes I'm! "a.i" files are vector files. AI files are not vector files .....you can open a bitmap file in adobe and save it as an ai file...then open it in flexi or signblazer and it will not be able to cut .....ai is just the format that you save it in take any cuttable file from this forum and see if you can cut it........or just open adobe and type "AI" save it in as an ai.file and export it ....them import it into signblazer and see if it cuts ...................
