Phillup 1 Posted April 29 Hi there, I recently purchased a used Graphtec CE6000-60 and am very pleased with the results I'm getting. I've just tried using the pen instead of a blade and getting great results from this too. I want to plot multiple colours but having difficulty aligning. I make all the colours on separate layers in illustrator, save the file, open it in Graphtec Studio 2 (the only software that is compatible with my Mac) and send to cutter. If I select only the colour I want then it defaults to putting the artwork at the origin point, not where it is in relation to the other layers. Is there a way to import a layer and keep the settings of the artboard in illustrator, or any other way that you can keep the position of different layers? All colours selected: Just green selected: As you can see it jumps to the corner… Thanks! Phil
Phillup 1 Posted April 29 Ok, so I think I just worked it out! Looking in this panel: I can pause the different colours and then switch out the pen before continuing! Hope this helps if anyone else comes across this. Cheers Phil
haumana 1,228 Posted April 30 Welcome to the forum. Thank you for signing up. Glad you were able to figure out an aswer on your own. Thank you for posting your solution, as I'm sure it will help future users. If I may ask - what software, and platform (Win or Mac) you're using?
darcshadow 1,641 Posted April 30 There should also be a setting for What You See Is What You Get, WYSIWYG cutting.
Phillup 1 Posted April 30 Thanks @haumana I'm using a Mac and create my artwork in Illustrator - from there I open it in Graphtec Studio 2. My current setup doesn't allow for any compatible plug in for Illustrator to work (ie Cutting Master). I'd also like to be able to fill areas but can't see an option for that. Do you know how to achieve that?
